    2 Thessalonians 2:13…

It's been cold and rainy here for the past 2 days. Sharp bone-chilling wind with drizzle, a damp cold. I has some things to do but decided sitting by the fire and a pot of coffee was in order.

    2 Thessalonians 2:13…

I've had conversations with you before, it's impossible. That's why I want out after I make my points. There's no explaining anything to you, and then I have to explain things you should already know. Call it rude or whatever you like, I don't want to have further conversation with you!

    2 Thessalonians 2:13…

You do understand there are 3 phases of sanctification" The moment you are born-again-- that is positional sanctification, your position "in Christ." From that point the rest of your physical life on this earth you are being conformed in the image of Christ -- that is your progressive...

    2 Thessalonians 2:13…

I've learned through the years it has to be in and out quickly, striking the target and getting out with the Calvinist friends. Then relax, you've accomplished your mission.

We're going to have to go fishing one weekend, Jon, before the great moon passes over us.

What does "the sanctity of the home" mean? That is the idea behind my statement. Please just stop this childishness!

Sounds like a problem you'll have to work out with God.

The definition of sanctity that I used in that statement is "something that is holy" It depends on what you are conveying as the meaning of and English word.

That's your view and I respect that, Jon. I see it as man separated himself from a Holy God through a direct act of disobedience. Now man must be destroyed according to God's Law, but in God in mercy allowed His Son to intervene on our behalf to reconcile us back into good terms with the...

    2 Thessalonians 2:13…

Salvation is a sanctity that takes place between God and the individual as if you are the only one.

    2 Thessalonians 2:13…

Set aside your Calvinist mind for a moment and read it the way I have presented it. There should be a light bulb effect taking place. Once I was blind but now I see, something like that!

    2 Thessalonians 2:13…

Brother, you can argue it any way you like, and that's fine with me. Paul is plainly telling us in 2 Thess, Eph. 1 and Rom. 8 of God's plan of Redemption we have been predestined to for our salvation. It has not one iota thing to do with who will be saved but entirely the process in which we...

    2 Thessalonians 2:13…

Calvinism is bust, my friend! It was blown out of the water many centuries ago.

    2 Thessalonians 2:13…

@canadyjd Let me explain something. We are just as much saved in this life as we will ever be by grace through faith. Paul tells us that after we believe we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, that is the down-payment (as Paul put it) on our salvation until the resurrection. God must save...

    Why? or Why Not?

Now that deserves an explanation. The wrath of God is on man through his sin, so the wrath is because of man's sin. So you can say we are saved from our sin against God and His wrath on that sin.

    Why? or Why Not?

I see being saved as the result of the born-again experience. We are saved from what the Scripture tells we are saved from, "the wrath of God to come."

    2 Thessalonians 2:13…

Here again you are mistaken! Here again Paul is speaking of our sanctification process through His redemption plan in which all who believe will follow. From the very beginning God has chosen us (Paul is speaking to believers) to salvation THROUGH sanctification of the Spirit. How many times...

    Why? or Why Not?

Peter said there is no other name under heaven given to man whereby we must be saved. What is gommed up about that, or what do you not understand?
