Yes, this is a blind spot for those who do not understand what the Bible teaches on the extent of the Atonement. They wrongly equate "universal atonement" with "universal salvation", as if Jesus' dying for the whole human race, must mean that the whole human race will be saved! Such is their folly.

yes, indeed there are many views of the Atonement of Jesus Christ that are not based on the teachings of the Holy Bible. Limited Atonement being one of them. I think that you mean "universal salvation" and not "universal atonement", when you spake of those who believe that all will be saved in...

JOHN 3:16 - FOR GOD SO LOVES THE WHOLE HUMAN RACE

that is because those who hold that the Bible teaches a "limited atonement" cannot justify their position from the Bible itself, and when their position is exposed as being unbiblical, the resort to silly comments. Their own "leader" John Calvin refutes their "theology" as he never taught this...

JOHN 3:16 - FOR GOD SO LOVES THE WHOLE HUMAN RACE

why not deal with all of what I have said, as all is very relevant.

JOHN 3:16 - FOR GOD SO LOVES THE WHOLE HUMAN RACE

It seems that you cannot answer what I say, because it challenges what you believe, and you really don't have an answer!

JOHN 3:16 - FOR GOD SO LOVES THE WHOLE HUMAN RACE

Every word that it in the OP is mine, and my personal research. Its up to you to respond, or not. I have stated the facts as I see to be true, if you can disprove any of it, then I am very much open to learning and correction.

JOHN 3:16 - FOR GOD SO LOVES THE WHOLE HUMAN RACE

Thanks for your input. care to deal with what I have said on the Gospel in a nutshell, John 3:16, where it is beyond any doubt to an honest person, that Jesus Himself teaches "universal redemption". the lexical evidence that shows that "kosmos" means "the whole human race", shows that any...

says you! then you have a bad understanding of the Atonement as taught in the Bible, with most certainly is universal!
  9. Saved-By-Grace

    Calvin

Please go to my post on John 3:16, where you will see a few quotes from John Calvin himself, the person who is supposed to be behind "Calvinism", where in his own language we can see that he never believed or taught "limited atonement". Also, the fact that the language of John 3:16, especially...

JOHN 3:16 - FOR GOD SO LOVES THE WHOLE HUMAN RACE

Simply put, no Calvinist can refute what I have said, because it is what John Calvin himself believed and taught, and therefore it is hard for someone who claims to get their "theology" from Calvin on limited atonement, when he never himself believed it! I have also given the lexical evidence...

Yes, I wrote this in Word and then pasted it here! care to deal with the facts as I have given, rather than give some theology?

JOHN 3:16 - FOR GOD SO LOVES THE WHOLE HUMAN RACE

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” (3:16-17) The main purpose of the study, is to...

    Calvin

why don't you stop seeing things as a "Calvinist" and do so as a Christian, without any theological bias. Calvin himself very clearly says on John 3:16, that Christs death was for EVERYONE WITHOUT EXCEPTION, which can ONLY mean the ENTIRE HUMAN RACE. Because those who try to claim that Calvin...
  16. Saved-By-Grace

    Calvin

only with a theological bias would you conclude that the human race is not meant.
  17. Saved-By-Grace

    Calvin

Yes, but the "entire human race" is made up only of two parts, Jews and Gentiles. If you were a Jew, then you were not a Gentile, and vise-versa. So, the two peoples represent the entire world, as it still does this day, if these two terms are used. You cannot assume from this that somehow God...

No one is disputing the fact that the Greek "κόσμος", does mean in instances "not all the world". However, we must determine this by the context where the word is used, and also others uses of the word when used in the same sense. Its like "αἰώνιον", where it does not always mean "forever...
  19. Saved-By-Grace

    Calvin

It is quite clear that John Calvin and others who have followed him, are in error. The Apostle John wrote: "and he is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for the whole world" It is very clear from the entire Epistle, that John wrote to ALL believers, and not just the...
