    Eucharistic Divinity

Well, Justin has some problems understanding works, being that he was depending on a man to perform a ceremony for him to be saved.

I don't really care what the Catholic fathers believed. But my first post was just picking with you, seeing we have had several conversations and can never agree. Just being a good Baptist, lol.

The desolate land of Israel becomes like the Garden of Eden

Well, you're doing what Paul told us Gentiles not to do thinking Israel has been broken off permanently. Paul would call that being "high-minded." A failure to recognize that the "olive tree" (the New Covenant in Christ's blood) is theirs and we are grafted in by faith.

The desolate land of Israel becomes like the Garden of Eden

Not sure exactly what you're looking for. But if it's about the olive tree branches? Paul is speaking to the Gentile Church. Rom. 11:17-25 "And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert grafted in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness...

    Eucharistic Divinity

I agree it's certainly not Baptist. The regeneration you speak of comes from the believing from the heart not water baptism. "for with the heart man believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made into salvation." I see nothing about water baptism regeneration.

The desolate land of Israel becomes like the Garden of Eden

The Church is 99.9 % Gentile, we are the spiritual Israel through the faith of Abraham, but we are not the natural descendants of Abraham, Israel is. They are as Paul said the natural branches of the olive tree, the Church is the wild branches grafted in.

The desolate land of Israel becomes like the Garden of Eden

The Church is not cut out, they are spiritual Israel, the olive branches that were grafted into Israel's covenant with God. The covenant is not with the Church, it's with Israel.

The desolate land of Israel becomes like the Garden of Eden

When Paul said that they are not all Israel who are Israel he was denouncing Israel's claim that Israel was saved (national salvation) by the fact of being the birthright of their father Abraham. Notice Paul said, not as though the Word of God has taken none effect, they are not all Israel...

The desolate land of Israel becomes like the Garden of Eden

I'm babbling on now, but this is where Covenant Theology went off the rails. It doesn't recognize this fact of Israel, the separation of the Church and Israel in God's plan.

The desolate land of Israel becomes like the Garden of Eden

What we must understand is the Church is God's second choice, the nation of Israel are the chosen not the Church. And the chosen (Israel) will be restored to what God originally planned for them to be in this world.

The desolate land of Israel becomes like the Garden of Eden

When John the Baptist and Christ came preaching to Israel "Behold the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand" the Kingdom was being offered to Israel at that very time. But they rejected Christ and the Kingdom was given to the Church to fulfill Israel's calling. But Paul tells us that Israel has a date...

The desolate land of Israel becomes like the Garden of Eden

You are correct in that the Kingdom was taken from Israel when the religious leaders rejected and crucified Christ. You are correct that the Kingdom was given to the Church/Gentiles to carry Christ to the world. Where you are wrong is that Israel has not been cast away, as Paul said. They...

    Has no Biblical foundation

This is going nowhere. The 14th of Nisan is preparation day for the High Day Sabbath. John says in 19:14 it was the preparation of the Passover, this is when Christ was being examined by Pilate during the trial. So we can't agree on anything.

The desolate land of Israel becomes like the Garden of Eden

"If that has already been accomplished how do you explain Isaiah 14:1-3. For the Lord will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob. 2 And the people shall take...

Everyone agrees Christ was crucified on preparation day, but the exact date of that day is unknown. The problem is the High Day that week, how did that work in harmony with the Gospels? That's why we have a possible Wed., Thur., or Fri. You have Christ crucified on the 15th of Nisan, that is...

As long as there are 2 scholars left in the world that will be refuted by one.

But yet we don't the exact date of our Saviors birth and death. Go figure! Only one explanation, God didn't intend for us to know in one way or another.

Read the 2 different interpretations a few times and give it some thought for a few days. It will sink in, go sit on the porch and peel an apple, that's when stuff happens, lol.

It will come to you when you're on the porch peeling an apple, or something like that.
