The Propagation of the New Birth

I think that teaching has its place but it falls on the authority given by God. An example from Scripture. God told Ezekiel if he did not warn the wicked of Israel with His message and those wicked died in their sins, God will require the blood of these people at his hand. This drops in the...

    Dead In Sin 2.0

I believe if a baby dies, in God's foreknowledge he will know if this child would have ever accepted Christ and that is the basis. But that's my opinion.

    Dead In Sin 2.0

Now that raises the question of the age or accountability. I've heard some say that if a child dies before the age of accountability, they will go to heaven if their parents were saved. The main reason they say that is because David said of his first baby with Bathsheba that died, "you will...

    Dead In Sin 2.0

Psalms 51:5 "Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me." Some will claim, or I have heard some claim that in this verse his mother was sinning when he was conceived. That cannot be correct. David is saying he was born a sinner. So the consequences of being made a...

I don't know why it's worded that way, I know in Exodus 12:15 they ate unleavened bread 7 days.

From what I understand on that day they got together singing hymns, praying and worshiping, probably a lot Torah quoting going on. You know like the Jews you see at the Western Wall on tv wrapped in shrouds and ribbons everywhere quoting the Torah.

Because the 7th day is a High Sabbath Day. All of Israel could do no work just as the weekly Sabbath but the exception on the last day to Unleavened Bread Sabbath was that all the people gathered together in worship to the Lord.

Are you using the definition of "between the evenings" meaning as the Sadducees taught it, from sunset the dark? Taht woud be a time period of around 60 minutes. Or what is your definition of "between the evenings?

The first day and the last day of Unleavened Bread are High days. The first day of Unleavened Bread, 15th Nisan The last day of Unleavened Bread, 21st Nisan The 7th day in Duet. 16:8 is the last day of Unleavened Bread.

Now can you make out the timing of the preparation day the 14th when they killed the sacrifice at 3PM and ate the meal beginning at sunset which was the beginning of the 15th?

I think here is the problem. Remember when I told you in Jewish tradition the evening begins with the descension of the sun? The evening begins when afternoon begins after the noon hour. If you measure the time between this time at the beginning of the first evening to the sunset the...

Exodus 12:3-8 They were to select the sacrifice on the 10th day of Nisan, keep it until the 14th day of Nisan. Kill the sacrifice on the evening of the 14th "between the evenings" which is 3pm the same time Christ would die on the Cross. They were to eat the sacrifice beginning at sundown on...

First Day of Unleavened Bread (15th): Begins at sunset on the 14th, which marks the start of the 15th. Once you get this down then you can move on.

Of course this is an example of how the 14th turns into the 15th. The week of Christs' crucifixion we don't know for sure what day the 15th was or the year for that matter.

You're making the mistake of believing the evening of the 14th day of Nisan was at nightfall and beyond. It wasn't, it was in the afternoon. At sunset Wed. began, the 15th day of Nisan. The 9th hour is famous in the Scripture to referring to the evening sacrifice at 3pm.

That's exactly what I would have said! I see we agree on the problem. Sounds like "old school" to me.

See that's the problem JD, we don't know what day the High Day Sabbath for the Passover fell that week. If it fell on Sat. the weekly Sabbath and those 2 days were combined in one Sabbath, that would be a Fri. crucifixion. Jesus being crucified on Fri. on the preparation day before the...
