Is it moral to Kill in self-defense?

Aha, as I suspected, a dedicated follower of famous Pentecostal, the Rev. Smith Wigglesworth! That's why your postings are creepy and strange. www.deceptioninthechurch.com says about Wigglesworth, "Wigglesworth preached constantly on the power of faith, but he failed to balance his teaching...

Is it moral to Kill in self-defense?

Dear plain n simple, Your posts seem to border on the strange and creepy. Reminds me of the hyper-faith theology of Pentecostals. Do you, happen to, subscribe to some Pentecostal beliefs or theology? That's because your avatar is that of a famous Pentecostal: Smith Wigglesworth.

Isn't it our Christian duty to support the Second Amendment?

Isn't it our Christian duty to support the Second Amendment?

Can we call upon the Holy Spirit for supernatural strength in times of danger?"

So you are saying that the movies, Star Wars, Alien, and Star Trek are all the same because they all happen in outer space (same context)?

Can we call upon the Holy Spirit for supernatural strength in times of danger?"

Certainly not. Here are the three issues again: 1) the morality of killing in self-defense, 2) the obligation to support the Second Amendment, 3) calling on the Holy Spirit in times of danger. (I eat SPAM, my favorite.)

Isn't it our Christian duty to support the Second Amendment?

I betcha you haven't fired a single shot in your life, not even a Daisy BB gun.

Isn't it our Christian duty to support the Second Amendment?

Hi David, 1. My question was addressed to the majority of members of this board: Americans. :saint: 2. You gotta be kidding me! Moses (Charlton Heston ) said, "We cannot -- we must not -- let tragedy lay waste to the most rare and hard-won human right in history. A nation...

Is it moral to Kill in self-defense?

Or to rephrase the question, "Is it moral to preserve one's life (Kill) in self-defense?" Following Tomas Aquinas' logic: 1. Natural law dictates that it is normal to preserve one’s life. 2. Since it is a principle of natural law, it is therefore moral to preserve one's life. 3...

Isn't it our Christian duty to support the Second Amendment?

to plain n simple... Yes, I will follow what I want, and what I want is what is natural and sensible. "He that suffers his life to be taken from him by one that hath no authority for that purpose, when he might preserve it by defense, incurs the Guilt of self murder since...

Isn't it our Christian duty to support the Second Amendment?

Well, if it weren't for the lots of muskets which our forefathers had in their hands, would we still not be a British colony? (I hear, England is pretty much atheistic, except for the hundreds of Islamic mosques which are dotting the country. There's one sprouting every minute.)

Isn't it our Christian duty to support the Second Amendment?

Plain n Simple, are you saying that self-defense is not valid in the New Testament?

Isn't it our Christian duty to support the Second Amendment?

Hamel, are you saying that it is a Christian's duty not to resist deadly violent crime?

Can we call upon the Holy Spirit for supernatural strength in times of danger?"

Yes, I agree. But if "God is able to keep us from evil providetially, God is able to intervene supernaturally", can he not use the Holy Spirit that dwells within us? Can it not be a matter of "ask and you shall receive?"

Isn't it our Christian duty to support the Second Amendment?

But, if a Christian were faced only with two choices--to support or not support the Second Amendment--what answer should come naturally?

Isn't it our Christian duty to support the Second Amendment?

Guns equals freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom from persecution. If we can travel back more than two hundred years ago and ask our Founding Fathers, they would probably say that it is a Christian duty to do so. What do you think?

Can we call upon the Holy Spirit for supernatural strength in times of danger?"

Did not Samson's strength come from the Holy Spirit (Spirit of the Lord)? Judges 14:6 says about Samson, "The Spirit of the Lord came upon him in power so that he tore the lion apart." Verse 9 says, "Then the Spirit of the Lord came upon him in power. He went down to Ashkelon, struck down...
