    Megyn Kelly "Backhands" Dick Cheney

One also has to wonder where Iraq would be today if we would have stayed out? I know we would have 4500 men and women still alive but would the world be any safer? Don't know, maybe it is worse since ISIS now has weapons. And we must also wonder where are the WMD that mysteriously left Iraq? We...

The best books for False Converts

Evan I agreed with Ann for there is no better book than the Bible, I didn't take her post as saying one shouldn't recommend a book, just that the Bible is the best one, that is all. Maybe you should set the cup of coffee down and back away slowly....lol

    :applause: Good advice Ann.

The best books for False Converts

You may want to try another MacArthur book, "Saved without a Doubt" it definitely assures the genuine believer but I would imagine it will convict someone who is lost.

    The Gospel According to Jesus

I have the 2008 edition and I also have Hard to Believe, so I'm ready for the discussion. Sounds interesting, I hope we get several interested. I would say wait on James.

    Megyn Kelly "Backhands" Dick Cheney

When Kelly is blaming Cheney, she needs to include all the liberals who agreed with what was going on at the time. It wasn't just Bush/Cheney that put us into the Iraq war.

    Evil people in churches

I have been in many churches over the past 28 years and seems like everyone has people like this. From small to large churches, there is going to be tares who resist anything and they can do very ugly things. I know a pastor friend who was sent a very ugly letter vilifying his wife in a horrible...

    Easy-Believism

You may be right. I used to live in Joplin and we were members of a great traditional SBC church. The only one like it here is the one we attend now, but there are changes in the air. I'm worried. Maybe will come to KC and visit ya..

    Easy-Believism

Rev, It is one thing to critique Warren and his Saddleback church and another to critique his invasion of the church through his many how-to-books and website that has affected thousands of pastors. He is on a high horse riding throughout our world spreading his easy believism, so yes we can...

    Easy-Believism

James obviously your version of easy believism is a different animal than what is being discussed here. If I can speak for the OP, I would say he means those who have people just sign a card to accept Christ (or similar gimmicks) and yes that is done in some churches, I've seen it. Evan if I'm...

    Easy-Believism

His people? I have been to one of his seminars or training sessions for church growth and if that is what you mean by his people, they are a bunch of slick marketers IMO. To Warren Christianity has become a business proposition. I feel he has good intentions but is deceived.

    Easy-Believism

Rev, I must disagree, Warren is this worlds biggest proponent of it. Have you ever watched him preach?

    Greetings to all

    Welcome Ned.

    Easy-Believism

Actually it has nothing to do with works, easy believism removes offensiveness of the gospel to make it easier to make a decision. Just add Jesus to your life and remain as you are and you can have a wonderful life. The OP spelled this out. The easy believism of Rick Warren and Bill Hybels...

    Easy-Believism

Easy believism is the scourge of the modern church. It is easy and non offensive to preach and many are following this path. It is not easy to find a genuine doctrinally sound church any more.

Duck Rippon, shortly comes wrath towards you. However I agree.

Calvinism is the Gospel, just ask Charles H. Spurgeon

I guess a new question should be, "why do non-cals always know what Calvinists believe, even better then they themselves know and they assume we hide the truth to lost people?" I'm sure glad we have all you educated smart folks to tell us lowly Calvinists what we believe...:wavey:

Calvinism is the Gospel, just ask Charles H. Spurgeon

Thing is the same can be said against non-cals, that they are arrogant for believing they can decide their destiny. Lets agree, it is easy to make a straw man argument by exaggerating the opposition. I admit Calvinists do it, will you agree non-cals do also? I'm not picking a fight, I'm...

    Tony Gwynn….R.I.P..

Always liked Tony, he will be missed. Anyone know if he was a believer?
