Not merited is the primary condition of election!

Yet another demonstration of biblical illiteracy. Faith is according to grace, not works.

Not merited is the primary condition of election!

More nonsense, the conditional is having faith that God credits as righteousness. Everything else is NOT the "Condition of Election."

    Tripartite Sheol?

Please address post #43. For example, "died in faith" means died believing in God."

Not merited is the primary condition of election!

Of course we need to recognize our need to be saved. But the "Condition of Election" refers to God's criteria or lack thereof.

    Slavery Numbers

It is important for us, to clearly understand scripture, and NOT be tossed about by the clever stories of people. In the run-up to the Civil War, professing Christians defended treating humans as property by presenting a twisted view of scripture, rather than accepting that we are to treat...

    Slavery Numbers

Good Grief, it IS applicable, pointing out that other than the Slave Advocating South, were depraved is totally non-germane. We are to compare ourselves to Christ, as Christians, and recognize comparing ourselves to other sinners is an argument straight from the father of lies.

Not merited is the primary condition of election!

Excellent post!! I agree, it is the responsibility of the lost to accept ... Christ by faith! If God credits their faith as righteousness, God transfers them into Christ where they undergo the washing of regeneration, and become the righteousness of Christ in Him. There is more to the gospel...

Not merited is the primary condition of election!

Complete Nonsense! The phrase "Condition of Election" refers to the basis of God choosing the individual for Salvation according to the New Covenant in His Blood. And that condition is having faith in Christ that God credits as righteousness.

    Tripartite Sheol?

I had not realized that a faction of Christians do NOT believe the OT saints were all taken to "Abraham's bosom" when they physically died, and had to wait there until they could be made "perfect" after Christ had died to provide the means to be made perfect. Sheol is a Hebrew word, found about...

    Dead in Sin

Yet another false claim, the old God uses a supernatural transforming beam to "open eyes." What malarkey! To open eyes is simply to explain something in an understandable manner to the audience. No magic needed. Psalm 110:3 refers to people who ALREADY belong to Christ. Thus totally...

    Did Iran kidnap Nancy Guthrie?

With the latest information, the apparently lone intruder, Cathode's post seems at least to point in the right direction. With 10 to 20 million intruders, many still residing in Arizona, all willing to break our laws, it would not be too surprising to find an illegal alien mixed into this...

    Tripartite Sheol?

These all died in faith. Died in faith does NOT mean "in the bosom of the Abraham." It means they died believing in God, and their faith was credited as righteousness. No one died "of the faith of Abraham." The verse does NOT refer to a single person, a "he." "All these" is not limited to...

    Tripartite Sheol?

Hebrews 11:13 NASB All these died in faith, without receiving the promises, but having seen and welcomed them from a distance, and having confessed that they were strangers and exiles on the earth. I see verse was mentioned and alleged to mean what it does NOT! Who are "all these" who died...

    The Old Self

Once a person has been spiritually born anew, they are a "new creation." Our old human spirit has been born anew, but our newly created human spirit, made perfect by the washing of regeneration, still animates our flesh and blood physical body. We still have our memories of our old attributes...

What is the Meaning of Being "Made Perfect"

The OT saints had to wait in Abraham's bosom until Christ provided the means of reconciliation by the blood of the Lamb. They had been chosen for salvation through their faith in God, but they had NOT been washed with His blood, which fully justified them, and allowed them to enter the kingdom...

    Slavery Numbers

Your claims are utterly false, without foundation in truth. You attempted to shift discussion to the North, to avoid discussion of the horrific depravity of the South's support for human slavery. Next, you did not acknowledge the fiction you presented concerning the US Army and giving...

    Tripartite Sheol?

I suspect what you are really asking is what is the meaning of being made perfect? The OT saints had to wait in Abraham's bosom until Christ provided the means of reconciliation by the blood of the Lamb. They had been chosen for salvation through their faith in God, but they had NOT been...

Spurgeon in the Furnace of affliction

Yes, his life, like others, demonstrated an incredible commitment to serving our Lord as God gave him the light to channel his service. Here is one of his blurbs, from the internet: Believers in Christ's atonement are now in declared union with those who make light of it; believers in Holy...

    Tripartite Sheol?

Acts 2:27 NASB For you will not abandon my soul to Hades, or let your Holy One see corruption. Here David says his human spirit/soul will not be left in Hades, the region for those heading for destruction. Note those taken to Abraham's bosom were NOT abandoned, they just as to wait to be made...
