    Confused About Creation?

Why not "from the beginning of the creation of everything, God created them (humans) male and female? I had expected someone to have raised this question. The reason is that God has continued His creation of men and women, thus "from the beginning" and not "in the beginning." So the studied...

    Does Free Will Limit God?

Yes, those reconciled were reconciled in the past, at the time Paul wrote the verse. :)

    Confused About Creation?

Mark 10:6 NASB “But from the beginning of creation, God CREATED THEM MALE AND FEMALE. The first step in discernment is to consider each verse in context, and see if we can determine which meaning (everything, including the physical realm and the spiritual realm such as...

    Does Free Will Limit God?

On and on, verse after verse, these poster simply obfuscate the obvious. Romans 5:10 NASB For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved]by His life. All this verse says...

    Does Free Will Limit God?

While I agree in part, narrowing the scope of all based on context, my specific conclusion differs. I think "all" refers to all humanity, those to be saved and those never to be saved. And I disagree that paying the ransom automatically saves those ransomed. Paying the ransom provided the...

    Nehemiah 6:9

False doctrine is mostly defended by two ploys, to attack the person trying to present truth, or claim the presentation is unclear or not understandable, again changing the subject to process from substance. Those seeking truth should see these ploys for what they are, non-responsive responses...

    Confused About Creation?

Recently I opined that to translate two or more Greek words into the same English word made it difficult to discern what (if any) distinction the inspired word choice was intended to convey. Naturally someone countered with the observation sometimes two or more different Greek words are used to...

So do I. :) The OP is in English.

Was The Apostles Commission in Mark 16:15-16 Fulfilled In 60 AD

    1) To draw a distinction between every human and every creature and then only imply every creature is a subset of humanity is pure malarkey. 2) Every one of Peter's audience is non-germane to the discussion. 3) Yes, everyone who does not heed the gospel will be destroyed, but that is...

    Interchangeable words, or confused meanings?

Some words are used interchangeably, but the words listed in the OP are not.

    Nehemiah 6:9

When the CT and MT agree over and against the TR, only an only-ist would post "taint so." The NASB runs from the controversy by adding to the text "O God" in italics. Not their finest hour.

    Interchangeable words, or confused meanings?

Yes it is. As Mr. Churchill said, "Is this the sort of tommyrot up with I must put."

    Does Free Will Limit God?

I have no idea where such nonsense come from. Christ died as a ransom for all, those to be saved and those never to be saved. Thus He provides the means of reconciliation to anyone who hears and understands the gospel, but only those who "receive the reconciliation" are those God intended to save.

Was The Apostles Commission in Mark 16:15-16 Fulfilled In 60 AD

I claim to be a bible student, studying God's word as commanded in scripture. I do not claim to have any credentials indicating my view should be accepted over any other studied view. That bag belongs to those who peddle God's word. Yes, I do say, with scripture, that portions of the gospel...

    Interchangeable words, or confused meanings?

If two similar but different Greek words are translated into the same English word, then those reading the English translation can not see any distinction. That IS the problem.

    Does Free Will Limit God?

Again, the issue is not whether any poster's speculation answers the question, but what does God's word say. 1) If God wants... Some might read this as suggesting God might not want everyone to come to him. Scripture is clear, God desires all people to be saved according to His redemption...

Was The Apostles Commission in Mark 16:15-16 Fulfilled In 60 AD

False doctrines arise from poor translation choices, such as translating a word that means "in" as if it meant "to."

    Interchangeable words, or confused meanings?

More addressing me and running from the topic. Folks, this is all they have. The word used by inspiration in 1 Corinthians 3:1 refers to lost unregenerate people, and Paul used spiritual milk to address them, as he also did addressing new born believers. The verse invalidates their false...

Was The Apostles Commission in Mark 16:15-16 Fulfilled In 60 AD

Yes, the Greek word translated "to" and "in" is the preposition "en: with the primary meaning of to be within something. Translating "en" as "to" is rare, with most modern translations going with "in." Exceptions using "to" include the RSV, NRSV, but not the ESV, the NIV and NKJV. However...
