    Dispensationalism

I think they were referring to the fact that Israel would never again have the status they once had before God. But I could be wrong on that, but that is what I am thinking.

    Urgent prayer request

A lady we go to church with was tragically killed in a vehicle accident this morning. We are crushed, as she was also in my Mother-in-law’s family, married to her first cousin. I’ve known her for close to 30 years as well, even before my wife I and started dating. Please lift the Justice family...

    The creation: origins

I'll give it a read and test it against the backdrop of scripture.

    The creation: origins

But something that wasn't taught until the 1700's, not any OT saint, NT saint, none of the ECF's, I find that teaching on very shaky ground.

    The creation: origins

However, this did gain traction until some time in the 1700's and that should have red flags all over it.

    The creation: origins

We need to have the scriptures be our guide, just like sailors of old used the stars to direct them whilst at seas. As I heard a guy say one time, "the safe harbor of scriptures", and I loved that and try to use that as my guide. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The...

    The creation: origins

What little research I have done, I have found that the Gap Theory wasn't taught by OT saints, NT saints, and it was some time around 1700-1800's that it has it origins. I found a Thomas Chalmers in 1814 popularized it, but I don't know if he originated the idea. Something coming onto the scene...

    The creation: origins

I have no idea how the gap theory came into existence to begin with. I love science, but I am leery of scientists who try to disprove of the existence of God, thereby, nullifying the validity of the word of God.

    The creation: origins

How reliable is carbon14 dating? Personally, I see a 6 literal days with each day being 24 hours creation. I believe that dinosaurs were alive on earth at the onset of time.

    Do You believe in God?

There is one on here who brings Calvinism into virtually every thread he posts in. In the Bible Translation thread he did that very thing. What does Calvinism have to do with that?!?!?! It doesn't. If you and I were in a thread discussing pizza recipes, he would chime in, "So, what you're saying...

    Do You believe in God?

You have to believe in predestination in some form (IMO) seeing it is in there. Some see that the plan was what was predestined. Others see that Christ was predestined and those who are saved then become predestined. Others will say God looked through the corridors of time and saw who would...

How Dems want to change ICE

Maybe the first option? How can you arrest without a warrant? Other options just handcuff…pardon the much intended pun…the ICE agents.

    Do You believe in God?

Beliefs are more than just soteriology. That’s where things get heated. But I’m sure there’s many things we agree with. Pro-Life Anti-LGBTQ+ (against the movement but pray for their salvation) Pro-2A (although that’s not a religious subject) Virgin Birth Deity of Christ

    Do You believe in God?

Well, Calvinists are Trinitarian, and that’s not something strictly taught and believed in Reformed circles. Many free will believing churches are Trinitarian.

    Do You believe in God?

God doesn’t expect us to give a dissertation of the Trinity, or any other theological matter, in order to be saved. Just “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”[Acts 16:31]
