    Today, I have "fathered" you?

Mind / soul is where the will resides. Jesus, being fully human and fully God, had a human mind / soul with a human will that was subjected to the will of God the Father. If Jesus did not have a human will, He would not have declared that His will was set aside so He could do the Father’s will...

    Today, I have "fathered" you?

The earthly incarnation of Christ was the Word become flesh. Human means having a body and a mind. A human body without a human mind is not fully human. Both body and mind of Christ were therefore human, otherwise the Logos did not become fully human, while remaining fully God. Christ’s mind...

    Today, I have "fathered" you?

Orthodox Christian theology holds that Jesus had a complete human soul (mind, will, and emotions) alongside his divine nature. To be fully human, Jesus required a human soul and body; otherwise, his humanity would be incomplete. This human soul allowed him to experience human emotions...

John 7:8-10 Did Jesus lie or tell the truth?

I do not understand why you hate the King James Version so much. You do enjoy putting words in the mouths of other individuals, ascribing beliefs to them that they never expressed. You say I promote the NASB, for example, but I have never said such a thing. The Bible condemns that as bearing...

    The Bible Agnostic Test.

Yes, it does appear that Will J. Kinney is trying to get people to be opposed to the King James Version. Not sure why he dislikes it so much. It’s my favorite version of the Bible. I’ve never promoted any other version in my discussions with him, but he keeps falsely accusing me of championing...

    Today, I have "fathered" you?

You forgot the essential role of the Son of God, before He was born as the human Jesus — His role as Logos, the Word, the Speaking Into Being Power, the Channel Through Whom the Universe Was Created and Is Sustained, the exact representation of the Father as His Mind and Personality, according...

Is this an old fashion ideal?

This is why a pastor should never be the only leader in the church. Others should handle these necessary activities, as you suggested. Besides, to have all these would only require working 5 days a week if one person led them all. Why should a pastor work only one day a week as far as public...

Is this an old fashion ideal?

Any church that has only Sunday morning services seems weak and dying to me. All these studies, events, ministries, and classes are mandatory for a Bible based church. I would also add Wednesday prayer meetings, new member classes, devout book clubs, and food / clothing pantries.

The D Chart: Part III--on doing theology with AI

Not at all over my head. Your facts are wrong. Israel is not dead and buried. I forgive your insult.

The D Chart: Part III--on doing theology with AI

But — 1. Jesus forgave them as He hung on the cross 2. Israel is a national collective entity since founding May 14, 1948. Again, the nation of Israel is alive, not dead and buried. Founded May 14, 1948.

Which Jesus? Why the Bible version issue matters.

Proverbs 15:18 A hot-tempered man stirs up strife, but he who is slow to anger quiets contention. 2 Timothy 2:24 And the Lord's servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, Titus 3:9 But avoid foolish controversies, genealogies, dissensions...

How many here hold to The doctrine of the perseverance of the saints

I wonder how many of us have seriously examined the true state of our souls. As long as we remain smug, complacent, and sure of our salvation, without closely inspecting our lives, we could be headed for hell.

    Do You believe in God?

Proverbs 20:3 It is an honor for a man to keep aloof from strife, but every fool will be quarreling. Proverbs 26:21 As charcoal to hot embers and wood to fire, so is a quarrelsome man for kindling strife. Proverbs 17:14 The beginning of strife is like letting out water, so quit before the...

    The Bible Agnostic Test.

I think most of us in this Baptist Board forum already love the wonderful King James Version of the Bible, even though it contains 300 - 700 archaic words, many of which are hard to understand. We also like other, more modern versions that use contemporary words. The books of the Bible were...

Why am I a young earther if all science points to billions of years?

I checked Google. Here is what Astronomy Magazine has to say: https://www.astronomy.com/science/mysteries-of-the-oort-cloud-at-the-edge-of-our-solar-system/ The Oort cloud represents the very edges of our solar system. The thinly dispersed collection of icy material starts roughly 200 times...

I still struggle to understand the NT in the KJV

What do you mean by you struggle to “understand each sentence or passage as a single idea”? I immediately think of verses like John 3:16, which contain a single idea about God’s love and salvation. Can you give us some examples of sentences or passages that you cannot understand? Why would...

    The creation: origins

Fish and sea creatures, water dwellers, aquatic beings were not wiped out, the flood was not lethal to them. But who knows how all the tiny bugs, bees, silverfish, centipedes, flies, gnats, moths, ants, ticks, worms, butterflies, hornets, spiders, cockroaches, etc. were preserved on the ark...

    Why do Christians sin?

Christians can sin when various vices are considered trivial, minor self indulgences, “just the way I am”. Gluttony/over-eating, gambling, smoking, envy, materialism, coveting, naughty thoughts, mammonism, violent video games, sports obsessions, lack of empathy, worldly entertainments, improper...

‘We’re living on borrowed time’: As national debt hits $39 trillion, a top diplomat warns of a crisis America isn’t ready for

Key Creditors of U.S. National Debt: Foreign Governments & Investors: As of early 2025, foreign entities held a significant portion of U.S. debt, led by Japan, China, and the United Kingdom. Japan: Top foreign holder ($1.06 trillion+), according to Congress.gov. China: Second largest foreign...

    The Bible Agnostic Test.

I don’t care about the NASB, so do not call it “your ever changing, Vatican supervised text NASBs”. If you paid attention, you would see that I do not promote any particular Bible version. You can call serious mistakes in the KJV “minor printing errors”, but they change meanings and cause the...
