Here is what the prophet Jesus said to his disciples (and Luke wrote it down) on Sunday of that crucifixion week. He spoke the words of Matthew 24 and 25, called the Olivet discourse, on Wednesday, after he had departed the temple for the last time. Lk 1911 And as they heard these things, he...

Please understand that I am not posting for the purpose of arguing. There is much I do not know and if someone makes a scriptural presentation of truth that the Holy Spirit bears witness to, my mind will be changed. I am reminded of Phillip asking the Eunuch if he understood what he was reading...

Matt 24does not have the church in view. Those who are gathered from the nations at the time of our Lord's second advent are Jews being gathered to the land of Israel.

john wrote those words as late as AD 90. John was writing about the appearance of Christ as a man, as the God man. He declared God as the Father, his Father, a relationship the OT saints seemed to be unawares of.

Maybe we should start a thread to get every religion represented here definition of "saved". Saved is to be renewed to the image of God by his washing away of the guilt and penalty of sin and being reconciled to God, the judge of all the earth, by the blood of his own son, Jesus Christ...

What if the epistle of Paul to the Romans outlined the 7 dispensations of time in it's 16 chapters? The theme of the epistle is the "gospel of God." The gospel of God includes the gospel of Christ. Both are mentioned in the first 16 verses in Romans 1. The first verse in Romans is 7 verses long...

The dispensations is the way that God chose to get himself fame among the nations and to make himself known as the one true God. We know much about him by the way he has dispensed his knowledge of himself practically. Those before the flood could not know him like we do. Joshua 9:9 And they...

    Has no Biblical foundation

It would not. As far as I understand a high day is when one of the 7 feast days corresponds to the weekly sabbath. Therefore it s the same day. The immediate context is the weekly sabbath so the KJV is correct yet again.

    Has no Biblical foundation

This is not plural in my Bible. The key to being right about this day remains John 12:1. Can it be established from the scriptures that Jesus came into Bethany on a Sunday, 6 days before the Passover which was followed by the Sabbath which itself was followed by the first day of the week...

    Scofield Reference Bible

God never changes. He is the God of all grace. But he is also Judge of all the earth. So yes, God extends grace in all dispensations but he doesn't have grace as his operative principle of Divine dealing in but one dispensation. It is this one we are in now. It will end soon I think...

We are having a disconnect here. I do not know about a high day and wonder if the scriptures tells us about it. I have followed the writings of Mark and John and can definitely follow an 8 day blueprint for the whole week and the beginning of a new week. In this blueprint Jesus is in the tomb...

You know a lot more about the high day than I do. I was asking for Bible explanation on it so I could consider it. I do know that the first 4 days when Jesus was coming to and from Bethany and the Mount of Olives and Jerusalem would have exceeded a sabbath days journey round trip so we can rule...

The preparation day was missed by the ladies although they were there to prepare the body for burial. There was not time before the Sabbath. This is why they showed up on Sunday Morning. The Sabbath restrictions was not a concern on resurrection day as indicated by the 2 disciples on the way to...

What is a high Sabbath Day and where in the scriptures will I confirm it. I am asking because I want to know.

    Has no Biblical foundation

It is irrelevant. John said Jesus entered Bethany 6 days before Passover. Mark and John accounted for each day, numbering 8 days. There is no doubt that Jesus was in the tomb the full day on the sabbath else there is no typology in scripture. I suppose the reason for the Zacchaeus story and why...

    Has no Biblical foundation

In post #78 I outlined a time line for the days of the week leading up to and including the resurrection of Jesus Christ from a clear starting point given by the Bible in John 12:1. All these days were given by an eye witness and inspired apostle of Jesus Christ and was easily tracked and...
