    Protestants Riot in Northern Ireland.

I didn't think you'd be compeltely neutral in your comments. The best I hoped was my request would act as a sea anchor and keep you from sounding to much like the guys over at the Abbey Tavern. So, I thak you for your restraint. And I quite agree with you on De Valera's pure blind stupid...

New Orleans to be reinhabited - but not by nasty poor people

</font> The hurricane I mentioned happened around 1905. Galveston at the time was the only deep water port on the Western Gulf Coast. The Huston Ship Channel wasn't built until 1915. I am not saying Galveston isn't a big dynamic city in 2005. What I am saying is,</font>before the hurricane...

New Orleans to be reinhabited - but not by nasty poor people

While there may have been some wishful thinking on the part of some rich pinheads, the wishes will crash into reality. Though, it is worthwhile to remember the experiences of Galveston and Huston. Before the hurricane that wiped Gaveston all but clean, it was the city of the Texas Gulf Coast...

    Protestants Riot in Northern Ireland.

Now, could our members who are closer to the action explain this to us outsiders (Matt, for the moment, please act as counsel for the Orange Order.) To me this looks like the sons of the Grand Army of the Republic (the veteran's organization for the Union Army) expecting to be allowed to march...

    Mexican Troops On U.S. Soil.

So, I'm supposed to be exercised about an unarmed re-inforced medical company. But, I'm not about armed Panzers and Luftwaffe units. I'm confused. Yes, the Germans are part of NATO, but the Mexicans are our neighbors. Actually, I read about the Luftwaffe unit because some of its members were...

    Mexican Troops On U.S. Soil.

Now that I think of it. The Luftwaffe unit probably was located at Lackland. I was cheaper for the Germans to have their pilots and ground crews train here on the American fighters they were flying. That and there is more space here for "live fire" training here than in Germany.

    Mexican Troops On U.S. Soil.

And as this is well beyond three pages, I am issueing the Six Hour Warning. No Earlier Than 7am EDT, one of the moderators will close this thread. FYI, for many years during the Cold War, there was a permenant BDR Luftwaffe Training Wing located at a Texas USAF Base. I think it was Kelly.

Now remember all this palaver, the next time a country has a soveriegnty problem with us.

The French have sent naval forces to the region. Here's the thread on it.

News for all who do not like France

Of course not. But it still means you believe some of us are. If I remember correctly , you don't like others to indiscriminately toss around the term "Bush Haters". What is the difference between that and what you did?</font> Like I tell my nephews: In other words, if what I say is a size 9...

News for all who do not like France

And I might add this is kind of a thank you thread. La belle France sends us goodies and then we turn around and insult them. Not on this thread; maybe on another but not this one.

News for all who do not like France

Inflammatory, when there are French aircraft on their way here loaded with all kinds of good stuff. Now at other times and in other situations, lay on MacDuff. 'Sides if the Frecnch happen into the right towns, the Cajuns will make them feel at home.

News for all who do not like France

Never said I hated the French. Nor do I ridicule them. I just keep in mind the French will be French. Her current government is following in the steps and legacy of M. le General DeGaulle. And by the by, the French will be welcomed with open arms by the Francophone Cajuns.

    communists on the move moveon.org

And I would agree to that last statement.

    communists on the move moveon.org

If you will note, I did not say being a communist should not have any repercussions. I said being a communist should have no more.... I'll match my anti-communist qualifications against yours any day of the week and twice on sunday.

    communists on the move moveon.org

There may or may not be communists in the memebrship of moveon.org. However, the important thing to remember is there are no stalinists in the organization. Communist\Marxist is a political position which should bring no more repurcussions to its adherents than membership in the Libertation...

Louisiana Governor Refuses Federal Takeover of Evacuation.

I would remind you all of the principle of Federalism at stake here. I am not a supporter of the governor of Louisiana. However, stop for a moment and think about what you are positing. Would you take the same stand if the governor was a Republican and the President was Kerry or (second...

    Keesler AFB, Boloxi

I really doubt the above statement. Gulfport is well within Keesler AFB's Area of Operations. Keesleris now the base of Air Force operations in the area. As of 1 Sept.: RED HORSE to the rescue RED HORSE refers to Air Force combat engineers. As of 4 Sept.: Retirement home residents recall...
