    Mary’s devotion to Jesus

    In conclusion: NT (Greek; GNT TR): [G2999] "λατρεία", "latreia": Jhn. 16:2; Rom. 9:4; Heb. 9:1,6 [G3000] "λατρεύω", "latreuw": Mat. 4:10; Luk. 1:74, 2:37, 4:8; Act. 7:7,42, 24:14, 26:7, 27:23; Rom. 1:9,25; Php. 3:3; 2 Tim. 1:3; Heb. 8:5, 9:9,14, 10:2, 12:28, 13:10; Rev. 7:15, 22:3 [G1398]...

    Mary’s devotion to Jesus

Finally, about the Roman Catholic "hyper-dulia" of Mary, from an older article of mine: Does Catholicism teach to worship Mary? Should it? LEO XIII - AUGUSTISSIMAE VIRGINIS MARIAE; ENCYCLICAL OF POPE LEO XIII; ON THE CONFRATERNITY OF THE HOLY ROSARY "... the Most August Virgin Mary ... this...

    Mary’s devotion to Jesus

A few final things, before I take my leave (three parts), but if you respond to this reply, I am able to come back to respond to any further replies to me, or about my replies even if not directly to me. Do you believe what Thomas Aquinas stated in regards the scripture not relating the...

    Mary’s devotion to Jesus

But Roman Catholic Dogmas of "Original Sin", and "Immaculate Conception (of Mary by 'Anne')" leads to the discussion. So, in effect, you brought it up by bringing up the Roman 'Mary'.

    Mary’s devotion to Jesus

The Pharisees & Sadducees said Jesus blasphemed too (Luk. 5:21; Mat. 26:65; Mar. 14:64; &c.), but they were wrong, even as you are also incorrect. What you now believe about the flesh nature of Jesus (since you have been shown) will affect what gospel you accept, and what you believe follows...

    Mary’s devotion to Jesus

As stated before, Mary is, indeed, dead, buried and returned to dust - Mary’s devotion to Jesus Roman Catholic sources state: Roman Catholic Online Encyclopedia; “V”; “The Most Blessed Virgin Mary”; subsection “The Post-pentecostal Life Of Mary”; Ecclesiastical approbation. Nihil Obstat...

    Mary’s devotion to Jesus

No, Roman Catholicism has the serious err, and is called "antichrist", vicarius christi, for it. 1Jn_2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. 1Jn_2:22 Who is a...

Ongoing daily, prayer - I am in a lot of pain & suffering right now (that has been ongoing), please, asking for mercies from the LORD Jesus Christ.

Not feeling good this morning asking for prayers. Head (headachy, little dizzy-sick feeling), abdomen (left side hurting), please. Little tired, exhausted feeling as well all over. Haven't gotten much sleep, tossing turning, restlessness.

I think I will move on to other threads.

    Have You Ever Attended...

You take offense that I am a non-Baptist Christian? Perhaps you would like to start another thread on that, and I would be happy to join you there to discuss why I am not a 'Baptist'. Matthew 25:47-50? There is no such text in scripture. I assume you meant Matthew 26:47-50 and simply made a...

    Mary’s devotion to Jesus

Did I say I could? (*looks back at my own response*) Nope. No, as I said she is unique in a certain way, and explained why that is with other texts. She is important in her role, for sure. Already agreed to. See response above and just previous. Says, 'you', but 'you' are no authority for...

    Have You Ever Attended...

Not to offend, but you seem a bit agitated in your responses, or at least that is how it is coming through for me. I did not say you said Jesus was a "Swede" either. I was simply responding to the fact, that the Catholic church has varying depictions of Jesus, as do most denominations that...

    Have You Ever Attended...

It's your thread, do with it what you will, as I was trying to stay as close to the wording of the OP as possible, so as not to offend. :)

    Have You Ever Attended...

The various depictions of Jesus will vary from place to place in the Catholic Dioceses / Parishes. Not all Catholic churches / Cathedrals / Basilicas / offices have the same depictions of Jesus. Jesus was obviously not a "Swede", and I know of no Roman Catholic who thinks He was, since He had...

    Have You Ever Attended...

I have not said that. I was simply exhibiting the various Catholic names for the things you had mentioned. This thread is about attendance to a Catholic church service - (as per OP - Have You Ever Attended... ), and not specifically about Catholic doctrines / practices and whether any specific...

Still no MRI. I wrote to the primary care, I called the MRI place (who have no record of me yet), and so I think it is still siting on insurance side.

She is having a rather difficult day today, like me. She is going to see a bone specialist I think next week, for a bone density scan, or something like that, and a few other things. She is worried about those things, and the (fear of future) pain in the going.

    Have You Ever Attended...

Yes, understand. Pouring is called "infusion" by the Catholic Church, and Sprinkling is called "aspersion" by the same. There are also other methods that people are using in modern times which are also not full immersion in water, such as having glitter dumped on them, hand-waving around them...

    Have You Ever Attended...

Ok, thank you for letting me know. A Roman Catholic 'Mass' will vary slightly depending on the season (like 'Lent', 'Advent', 'Easter', 'Ordinary Time', &c.), the location (country (u.S. or in Rome or Africa, South America, &c.), and building, whether Cathedral or not) and several other...
