    UMC Denounces Bible

I don't believe she is a "reverend" of anything. Also, not paying them $5 to read the story.

    Monastery engage and fellowship

Brother, I believe you misunderstood my comment. Absolutely they brought the Gospel to them, however they did not involve themselves in their idol worship. That was my point.

    DNA OF JESUS PART II

The Holy Spirit is the Lord, same as Jesus and God the Father. He can do anything He wishes.

    Monastery engage and fellowship

Yes, they certainly did, however they did not participate in the worshiping of the false gods and idols.

    X News 4

100%+ agree with dad. Actually, there is still space between them, so he's being kinder than I would have been. I try to be patient, but honestly have -0- tolerance for such people.

If you say you are non-denominational - are you really?

In my town there is a small, local church that is simply named "Community Bible Church". Local, fully independent, and no association with any denominational group. I've never visited there, but their SOF is consistent with most Baptist churches.

If you say you are non-denominational - are you really?

I am sure there is truth in that. My comment was actually milktoast and money. There was a massive church building near where I grew up..they called it the "Crystal Cathedral"...it was an amazing building. Went to a wedding there right after they finished it, and Robert Schuller was the pastor...

If you say you are non-denominational - are you really?

Could that also be considered a compromise church? As in, whatever Biblical doctrine you wish to believe in is fine with the non-denominational church, so long as it appears Christian? I have a problem with that. I'd prefer a half-filled church that actually preaches the gospel and teaches the...

They appear to be small ferns.

    Pregnancy

Justa, I will most certainly add you and your baby to my prayers.

If you say you are non-denominational - are you really?

I've always considered a "non-denominational" church to be a gathering of people who don't really know what they believe.

    Dietary Laws

Yes, I did, and saw where you had taken a single verse from Galatians 3 (3:10) and then combined it with a number of OT verses in an effort to confirm your pretext and show that Scripture agrees with you. It is said that: "A text without a context is a pretext for a prooftext, meaning that...

    Dietary Laws

If this was the old TV show "What's my Line", I would suggest you are a politician, as you can talk all day and not really say anything of substance, nor would you answer a direct question. Your reason for not answering my question is because you can't..there is no clear Scripture to support...

    Dietary Laws

GentleGospeller: You are correct...no matter if Paul read it to them, or they read it themselves, the message was delivered. STILL, you choose to ignore my question, stated again, below. If you are unable to answer, then own up to it and say so.

    Dietary Laws

If I "deliver a speech", it means I read a speech to a group of people, so what I see is that Paul and Silas read the epistle to them, and after they read it the people rejoiced for the consolation. That said, the context given in Acts 15:31 does make me consider that your understanding may be...

Does it Matter at all what the Age of the Earth is?

Exodus 20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. I can not disagree with plain speaking Scripture, even if I will always struggle with it.

    Dietary Laws

American slang is often difficult for non-Americans to grasp, as sometimes the phrase can mean something good, and sometimes not so good...often depending on which side of the Mason-Dixon you are on. As Jon mentioned, it not only changes from region to region, but even within individual...

Yes, I would like you to explain those details. See post #56. I'm still waiting for your reply.

    Dietary Laws

Here, Judas and Silas are reading the letter to the Church at Antioch. Acts 15:29-31 29 That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well. 30 Which when they had...
