“The Kingdom Of God”

This is excellent. I would subtitle it “Chopping the Heads Off of Dandelions”.

“How should Christians think through issues of social justice? Should we be involved in cultural and political matters? On Truth For Life, Alistair Begg addresses these relevant questions and reminds us of our ultimate citizenship in God's Kingdom.”

It is not an either/or matter. We live in the world and we engage the culture and political system, but we also live in and for the Kingdom of God.

It is usually politically liberal Christians who oppose Christian involvement in politics. You don't find politically conservative Christians opposing that involvement. Politically liberal Christians tend to approve of legalizing sin and their way of shutting down politically conservative Christians is to shame them for being involved with and impacting the civil aspects of our community particularly because the politically conservatives don't want to legalize sinful behavior.

It is perfectly possible for Christians keep God's agenda front and center and still keep their involvement in the political scene a priority. If some Christians don't want to be involved politically in any way shape or form, that is their right. But Christians who are politically conservative, who don't want to see the other side move us into a Socialist/Marist police state will continue to make impacts in that realm.

Anyone who listens to this particular broadcast knows that Brother Begg is not opposed to Christians being involved in politics. Anyone who has listened to these daily broadcasts often enough knows that from the few times Brother Begg may have tangentially touched on things political that he is not politically liberal.

I know that. I was not addressing the content of the video.
