Brothers;

Any of you like 1 John? Any of you want to dive into it deeper than most commentaries? If so I highly recommend Paul Washers latest book "Gospel Assurance & Warnings" of which I am reading and learning a bit. However I think I may need to read the book twice to comprehend more of it.

Any book worth reading is worth reading more than once!

I only have one book in my library I can say that of: The Gospel According to Jesus by John MacArthur. I did read that one twice, though there were a number of years between.

God bless.

Interestingly the doctrines you purport on here are quite contrary to the truths of that book. Perhaps you should read it again?

Apparently you have either not read or not understood the Gospel According to Jesus.

I assume you probably are referring to Lordship Salvation?

God bless.

I've read it and understand it which is why I gave my previous response. Your teaching is contrary to the books teachings, not to mention Scriptural teachings. I appreciate your zeal for Scripture but you're amiss on much doctrinally. :)

I read Barth's Dogmatics twice at one point...before I was married, before I had a life...not in the same year though...

Nope... I say we make a motion to de-canonize this letter.

All in favor...

PS--How many Greek students cut their teeth on this letter? This was the first book I had to translated, right after Philemon.

PPS--Even, you know I'm kidding with you, right?

Any time you want to discuss my error...I'll be glad to oblige, IT.

And name one thing from my doctrine that conflicts with what MacArthur teaches in the Gospel According to Jesus.

As I said, you have either not read it or you simply didn't understand what you were reading.

God bless.
