In 8 weeks we will be celebrating the Resurrection of Christ Jesus

1) Should we call that day Easter or Resurrection Sunday?
2) does it make a difference what we call it?
3) Will your Church be having a Sunrise service?
4) Would your church participate in a community Sunrise service?
5) Will your church have a Breakfast that morning?
6) Will you make any changes to your Sunday services that day?
7) Will the Easter bunny have any place on Sun (either in homes or at the Church)
8) Any other activities ?

Answer 1 or 8 questions or any number in-between
expound as you see fit - ie - why or why not?

1. I say Resurrection Sunday

3. No. Too many families with small kids
4. No
5. Maybe, we haven't decided yet. I would like to to promote fellowship of believers.
6. Yes. Singing of additional Psalms, less hymns, congregational Scripture reading and readings of poems.
7. No
8. We will be participating in the Lord's Supper >>>>> oh and have a birthday party later for my son (not at church)

2021 at my last church I can answer. Retired week after Easter 10 months ago.
Now at a new church as an "elderly member" where I've only been a short time and don't have a CLUE about the answers!!

Past
1) We called it Easter Sunday
2) No difference in what we called it but everyone knew what we are talking about if we used Easter
3) No Sunrise service
4) Members can do a walk to the cross, other activities; our church will not participate in a community Sunrise service
5) Always have a Breakfast that morning, made by the men
6) Only change to Sunday worship is much more singing - sections of songs Palm Sunday, Passion of the cross, Resurrection
7) Homes can do what they want, as long as they shared candy with me (tithing, you know)
8) We had communion EVERY Sunday so nothing new

1) I think either is fine, so long as the substance of it is emphasized
2) See #1
3) No mine doesn't, so I Worship with my Mennonite brothers for a Morning Sunrise Service. We drive up one of our dirt roads to a 4000ft ridgeline where we sing hymns together. I attached some pictures from last year below:
4) Our Church is ecumenical within some basic orthodoxy, so I imagine we would.
5) No, but others do
6) No
7) Only if I'm hungry ;)
8) Possibly sledding if the weather holds as it has the past couple years.
