Do we need to patrol the portion with the wall?

How many troops do we need for the border.

No need for one every 50 meters. We simply need to finish the wall and enforce the laws on the books and deport those that cross illegally.

If the smugglers start shooting at our guys, then bring in an attack helicopter and respond.

I suspect it would only take once or twice for them to get the message.

The reason Dems don’t want the wall is to flood Texas with illegal immigrants, get them voting cards and flip Texas blue. Do that and the GOP has virtually no shot at winning POTUS ever again.

How about using new technology instead of 4,000 year-old solutions (The Great Wall of China)? Use electronic surveillance and drones backed up by border guards.

You don't need a lot of agents. Good wall in most areas. Good surveillance equipment everywhere. Sufficient response teams.
