2 Corinthians1:20 NASB
For as many as the promises of God are, in Him they are yes; therefore through Him also is our Amen to the glory of God through us.

For as many as the promises of God are - this refers to every promise fulfilled when an individual is spiritually transferred into Christ,

In Him they are yes - this says if we are within Christ's spiritual body (and He is within our spiritual body) all of God's promises are fulfilled, such as eternal life, thus we will not perish.

Therefore - since the forgoing is true, we are in fact in Christ spiritually, then we are right to testify to the glory of God to the lost.

We need to look up all the promises given with the proviso that we are "in Him, or in Christ, or in the Beloved, etc.

For example Psalm 33:21 or John 3:16 or Ephesians 1:7

If we have been given to Christ, we are in Christ.

If we have been called out of darkness and into His marvelous light, we are in Christ.

If we have been baptized into Christ, we are in Christ.

If we have been rescued from the realm of darkness and transferred to the kingdom of His Beloved Son, we are in Christ.

If we have been redeemed, we are in Christ.

If we are alive to God, we are in Christ.

If we have been sanctified, we are in Christ.

If we have been indwelt, we are in Christ.

If we have been born anew, we are in Christ.

If we are a new creation, we are in Christ.

If we have been reconciled, we are in Christ.

If the blessings of Abraham will come to us, we are in Christ.

If we are His workmanship, we are in Christ.

If we are forgiven, we are in Christ.

If we have been made righteousness, we are in Christ.

If we have been saved, we are in Christ.

I do not think we can think this baptizm in the time of Moses as something same as the baptism of Christ.

When we are born again, we are in Christ, who giveth us the victory unto everlasting life. Alleuia!

So are those baptized into Moses in Moses?
Who could possibly believe such an blasphemous assertion. Everyone knows, or should know, the phrase is figurative in 1 Corinthians 10:2 and actually refers to their passage through the Red Sea

A more interpretive translation might read, All were baptized in the cloud and in the sea as followers of Moses.

They chose to follow Moses as he led them to freedom using God's guidance and direction using the cloud and the path through the Red Sea.

Now can we get back to the topic the study of 2 Corinthians 1:20?

Comparing the actual Greek usage.

1 Corinthians 10:2, . . . εις τον μωσην εβαπτισαντο . . . .

Romans 6:3, . . . εβαπτισθημεν εις χριστον ιησουν . . . .

Hello again,

Baptized unto Moses; Baptised into Jesus Christ.

Baptize means immersed, they were immersed unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea, also this is foreshadow Christ.

That can be gathered by context baptism is indeed the outward shewing of commitment. This is also a foreshadow of Christ, we were baptized unto his death and risen again as new creatures.
