Paul33,

You seem to have no answer to this? Such is the case with dispensationalism. When there is no answer due to lack of scriptural suppot - they just run away rather than deal with the facts that contradict what was taught erroneously.

Covenant,

I have an answer for it. It simply gets too tedius to respond to every incredible interpretation that gets proffered on this board. I gave you the benefit of the doubt in responding to your requests for more clarification of my position. Your twisted interpretation needs no rebuttal. It falls on its own accord.

I would be quite interested in your answer to the above post on the "resurrected saints of Matt 27. Like - where do you see scripture saying where they are? Are they in the New Jerusalem or not? That is not difficult to figure out based on the information scripture provides us - that is if we are dedicated to living by scripture and not by the "doctrines of men."

"Your twisted interpretation needs no rebuttal. It falls on its own accord."
I would say that it seems to be quite the opposite as I have provided an abundance of scripture to support the Amil view that the 1,000 years of Revelation has to be a "symbolical" term for the entire period of time from Christs' ascension to the Last Day when he returns in Judgment for the ungodly and the reward of allowing both Jew and Gentile believers entrance into the New Jerusalem from above upon His Second Coming.

The implications to the "holy city"/the New Jerusalem" are quite clear. I would say that you have been faced with a truth that you have no answer for. Your dilemma is that it doesn't fit into your Darby taught erroneous theology that you choose to hold onto instead of examining it closer to see if he was wrong or not.

I challenge you to provide scriptural support for even the above quote as you tend to put forth your claims without any use of scripture in most all your posts. You only use Zechariah and Revelation to refer to the 1,000 years but not much other scripture.

But, whose interpretation of scripture you choose to listen to is your choice, be it Darby or otherwise, and unfortunately, one that is made far to often from what I have observed from the threads I've read on this subject. We all do have the freedom to make that choice don't we?

Amen, Brother Paul33. Did everyone miss my contention that
Matthew 24:4-14 denotes the signs of the continuing church age?
(what are the signs of the ... end of the age?)
These are NOT signs that Second Coming of the Lord is to be soon,
these are signs that the church age continues.
These are NOT signs that the Millinnilal Kingdom of Jesus has come,
these are signs that the church age continues.

Here are some signs of the church age throughout the centuries
especially the first 300 years. I note that the great wave of the
1800s to missionary the world were accomplished to spread the word
to the whole world. Even today the Gospel is NOT allowed to be
preached in many Muslim countries and same major athiest countries.
Even today, the sign is not complete; yet the sign continues to
be completed. This is a sign the church age continues.

Matthew 24:14 (HCSB):

This good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed
in all the world as a testimony to all nations.
And then the end will come.

The Church Age will end at the Rapture of
the saints by Jesus. Comming soon without
sign(s) before it.

Ed,

Comming soon without sign(s) before it.
Matthew chapter 24 and Luke 21:28 telling us, we shall see the signs first to appearing to be happening before Christ comes. Obivously, we are seeing signs are happening everywhere in the world today, know Christ's coming is soon, we do not know when, we must be watch and ready for His coming.

In Christ
Rev. 22:20 -Amen!

DeafPosttrib: "Obivously, we are seeing signs are happening everywhere in the world today, know Christ's coming is soon, we do not know when, we must be watch and ready for His coming."

Even a false premise can lead to valid conclusions.
(The only way to check is if you can prove your
valid conclusion by valid premises).

DeafPosttrib's false presmise: "Obivously, we are seeing
signs are happening everywhere in the world today,
know Christ's coming is soon, ... "

Most of the signs we see are that the current age
(Gentile Age, Church Age, Age of Grace .. ) continues.
All of Matthew 24:4-14 shows signs that the
Church Age is continuing.

DeafPosttrib's true conclusion: " ... Christ's coming is soon,
we do not know when, we must be watch and ready for His coming."

Amen, Brother DeafPosttrib: Preach it!
The time is later than it has ever been; therefore
the Christ is coming soon. BTW, He may come today,
not 7-years (some say 3½-years) down the road.
There are no signs of the pretribulation Rapture/resurection.
There are signs of the Second Coming event the biggests
of which is the 7-year Tribualtion period.

Ed,

THen, you do not accept Christ's lecture, as what He told us, we shall see the sign of cosmic disturbance in the sky first BEFORE our gathering together to him - Matt. 24:29-31. Obivous, his coming is posttribulational. Why not you follow what Christ saying?

In Christ
Rev. 22:20 -Amen!

DeafPosttrib,
Almost every time I see "four winds" in the Bible, it is connected to the nation of Israel (Jeremiah 49:36, Zechariah 2:6, Revelation 7:1).

Thus, I would conclude that the "elect" referenced in Matthew 24:22 and 31 is the Jewish people being drawn back to Israel when Christ sets up His kingdom, not the Rapture.
