According to some of the Nostradamus folks, there is to be a 27 year war.
Such a war leads up to a temporary peace and then another world conflict centered specifically on the Middle East.
Now, I don’t put stock in the sayings of Nostradamus though admittedly some statements are shown to be accurate. I used him merely as an opening to the thrust of the thread.
The question of this thread is focused upon a statement by The Lord:
The “they” are unbelievers.
So, what do you expect of this year?
There are some of the Nostradamus that consider WWIII started in the latter part of 1990’s. That growing tensions and saber rattling is increasing until it eventually all boils over igniting the whole kitchen and then house.
News accounts are trying to alarm folks that both Trump and Putin are engaged in aggressive armament programs, others also point to a soon highly targeted total annihilation of much of the Western Hemisphere leaving only countries with socialist/communist alignment who are also protected from destruction fall out by mountains and prevailing winds. (I suppose this might also include California
)
As believers, is the Ark a type of The Christ?
As the church is “the body of Christ,” (1 Corinthians 12) are we to focus upon the building of the Ark and ignore the storm clouds gathering?
Or, should we also be diligently teaching and presenting to those who are perishing, while also bringing all the family into the Ark?
How accurate to this statement by Christ in a yet future event?
Given that preterist hold the prophecy of Christ already fulfilled, I somewhat doubt they will have much to contribute on this thread, but will anyway.
Noah preached a coming destruction using elements that had never previously occurred. How do you express rain to folks who have no experience with rain?
How do you approach those in this common time that can actually envision such world destruction, yet are just as much shackled in avoidance?

26“And just as it happened in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: 27they were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying, they were being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.
