Fewer homicides this month than April 2014

This month is on track to see slightly fewer reported homicides than in April 2014, though overall there have been more killings so far this year than in the first four months of last year, according to a RedEye analysis of preliminary police data.
There have been 32 homicides reported so far this April, compared to 36 total homicides reported in April 2014, RedEye data confirms.
However, 105 homicides were reported citywide for the first four months of 2014 — and so far in 2015, Chicago has seen 118, according to RedEye data.
