    Faith a gift of God:
    *Hebrews 11:1-3*
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. For by it the people of old received their commendation. By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible.

    *Hebrews 12:1-2*
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

    *Ephesians 2:4-10*
But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

    *Galatians 5:22-23*
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

No doubt even these verses will not be enough to knock down the humanist who believes they manufactured faith and thus, by their own faith, chose God and were considered righteous by their faith.

If we made a list of the heretical beliefs that are flourishing within the body of Christ, what would top the list?
    1) Water baptism is necessary for salvation?
    2) The Trinity is not true?
    3) Christ did not lay down His life as a ransom for all humanity?
    4) The KJV translators were inspired, any deviation by other translators is in error?
    5) Mary the mother of Jesus was sinless?
    6) Circumstances do not occur by chance, everything is predestined?
    7) Jesus wants His followers to misrepresent others in His name?
    8) God sets individuals apart in Christ not through faith.

Why did you not apply your observation to post 41?
Did you compare item #8 above, with post 41's false claim?

So how is a person sanctified positionally, progressively and ultimately.

They are transferred into Christ's spiritual body, where they undergo the washing of regeneration,, and then they arise alive in Christ as new holy creation. Then they are sealed in Christ with the Holy Spirit as a pledge to their physical redemption at Christ's second coming.

So how is a person made spiritually alive, regenerated?

They are transferred into Christ's spiritual body, (positionally set apart) where they undergo the washing of regeneration,, and then they arise alive in Christ as new holy creation. Then they are sealed in Christ with the Holy Spirit as a pledge to their physical redemption at Christ's second coming, their ultimate sanctification.

So how is a person made holy?

They are transferred into Christ's spiritual body, where they undergo the washing of regeneration (which results in being made holy),, and then they arise alive in Christ as new holy creation. Then they are sealed in Christ with the Holy Spirit as a pledge to their physical redemption at Christ's second coming.

God sets individuals apart in Christ, thus giving the individual to Christ, John 6:37.
When are the saved made alive. After they are given to Christ, they are then made alive, regenerated, together with Christ. Ephesians 2:5.

When are those given to Christ made holy? After they are transferred into Christ's spiritual body, they undergo the washing of regeneration (being made alive from being spiritually dead), thus making those in Christ a new holy spiritual creation, born anew. Ephesians 2:5, 2 Corinthians 5:17 and 5:21.

Holiness is an "already, not yet" issue in God's word.
Ephesians 1 let's us know that we already are in Christ before the foundation of the world. We are also, not yet, set apart, as we live this earthly life in these corrupt bodies that are still stained by sin. This is a paradox that we understand in scripture.

    More fiction!!

No one was in Christ before they were created.
Our human spirits were created within us, thus during conception.
    Our ultimate sanctification is predestined.
Paradox is the Sine Qua Non of false doctrine.

Yet another falsehood, as the post is discussing faith in the truth, the key to sanctification.

I was referring to heretical belief #8 from post #42, not post #8 from page one of this thread.
    Here is the quote:
    8) God sets individuals apart in Christ not through faith.

We all know that God says we are saved by grace through faith. But some deniers of God's word proclaim we are saved then given faith. That is not what 2 Thessalonians 2:13 says. Or any of the many other passages than say "through faith."

Thus post #42 was directly concerned with sanctification through faith in the truth.

Review my exegesis of Ephesians 1 in a different thread. You will see the "already, not yet."
