The poll was on the economy and you have a point. The fellow doing the video said that this was so bad for Trump because voters elected him because they thought he would do better on the economy. I disagree, and believe it was the issues you mentioned and just the general perversion and favoring of the criminal element and DEI that ruined Kamala's chances.
Trump really honked the Wall Street crowd with the tariffs, and then lost them in court, and had to pay it back - but it will never get back to the consumers so now everyone remembers that. Also, much of his base did not want to do this Iran operation and increasingly doesn't want anything to do with Israel. Then Trump has managed to take on the Pope and has honked off the Catholics, who voted for him and are our only reliable pro-life allies left.
One thing Trump and MAGA never had was a desire or ability to engage in ideas, put together a coherent set of policies, and build coalitions of different views. But the big question is, do Americans really want to go back to the insanity of 2019-2024.
