Thanks, but how many do we drive away by associating ourselves and Christ with political groups possibly half of America hates and goes out of their way to avoid?

From your response, I perceive you have no idea as to the conditions we labor under here in San Francisco. The political groups you mention do not exist or are on the fringes at best San Francisco's political ecosystem. This happened back in 1993.

After all, buying votes through welfare dependence has been the known strategy of the Democrats since The Great Depression.Several of my better neighbors are African American and Mexican American, and they do not fit this stereotype.
The only churches around here who align with political parties are the black churches aligning with the Democrats.As I see it, people go where they are most loved. And politicised churches shoot their own feet out from under themselves if they align with political parties that some deem to be less loving.
