What makes more Christian sense? Voting for the overall least amount of innocent bloodshed, or voting to lessen only some of the innocent bloodshed?

But you're not talking Christian sense. You're talking Utilitarian ethics.

Even accepting your premise for the sake of argument, I'll say it again. Neoliberals and neo-cons are not so very far apart.

People who are really as idealistic and purist as you claim to be don't vote for either Republicans or Democrats. They vote for Libertarians or Greens.

60 million. Today it's about 110 per hour. The most innocent among us. Hitler's holocaust x10.

You totally exposed yourself. You're not apolitical, you're liberal/leftist.

From your response, I perceive you have no idea as to the conditions we labor under here in San Francisco. The political groups you mention do not exist or are on the fringes at best San Francisco's political ecosystem. This happened back in 1993.
Thanks, but how many do we drive away by associating ourselves and Christ with political groups possibly half of America hates and goes out of their way to avoid?

If every good person were passive in the face of wars, there would be more bloodshed. Not less. Imagine if Hitler had gone on to conquer all of Africa. There could have been an African holocaust then. Same thing in South America, if the Nazis came to conquer it after victory rather than hide in it after defeat.

So the Utilitarian ethics won't work here. Only the antinomian ethics will.

So I guess #Dave is cool with preaching against single motherhood, welfare, and abortion, as long as you do it without upsetting democrats.

I move this guy is a troll.

It's almost impossible to do or say anything without upsetting some faction of the Democrat coalition, anyway. Without taking a vow of silence and living in seclusion in a castle in the countryside, anyway. Even then Democrats would be bused in from cities to protest the silent thoughts of the people in the castle.

What is the best way to stop abortion? Or people receiving handouts? Certainly it is not speaking out against these evils,

There we have it. The cat is out of the bag.

Speaking out against evil is preaching politics.

Just another liberal hiding his agenda in meaningless self righteous babble.

Done with you for good.

Several of my better neighbors are African American and Mexican American, and they do not fit this stereotype.
He said "too many." He did not say "all." I fully agree that "too many" are looking for handouts. After all, buying votes through welfare dependence has been the known strategy of the Democrats since The Great Depression.

As I see it, people go where they are most loved. And politicised churches shoot their own feet out from under themselves if they align with political parties that some deem to be less loving.
The only churches around here who align with political parties are the black churches aligning with the Democrats.

Northern urban Dems got their votes from the way they helped their slum voters before the days of government welfare. That's what made Tammany Hall, Tammany Hall.
