666 - the scriptural [KJB] Truth.

Ezra 2:13 KJB - The children of Adonikam, six hundred sixty and six.​

This text, among others, helps us to identify who receive the number 666 [Revelation 13:18 KJB]. They are the “children of Adonikam”. Once the name “Adonikam” is defined, we have a characteristic of his “children”.

It is made up of two words,

[1] “Adoni” [H113, KJC], which means “Lord” [Nehemiah 3:5, 8:10, 10:29 KJB, etc], and​

[2] “qum” [H6965, KJC], which means “arose, rise, risen, get up, etc”, and even in the context of rising up “against”, or “enemy” [as in risen up against], see “... them that rose up against thee ...” [Exodus 15:7 KJB] and “... their enemies.” [Exodus 32:25 KJB]​

Therefore, the name can mean, 'the number of those that are arisen up in rebellion against the Lord, are 666'.

For other instances of this 666, may be seen in the great Image of Daniel 3:1 KJB [60x6x6], the image of a fallen (sinful, Babylonian) man, whose heart became as a beasts heart, and the issue of a death decree by a combination of state and religious authority (Daniel 3, is the violation, in type, of the first Amendment, Congress shall make no law establishing religion; whereas Daniel 6, is the violation of the next portion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof), and in the apostasy of Solomon, the height and rule of men, 6 lions on the left, 6 lions on the right, and 6 steps up to the Throne [6 – 6 – 6] in 1 Kings 10:19-20; 2 Chronicles 9:18-19 KJB, and also in the height of men's wealth, in the 666 talents of gold of Solomon in 1 Kings 10:14; 2 Chronicles 9:13 KJB, who apostatized.

One may also begin in Genesis, with the first 6, in which both “beast” [including the serpent, the most subtil beast of the field] and “man” were created in the 6th Day; Genesis 1:24-31, 2:1-25 KJB, in which an “Image” is also mentioned.

Additionally, the very numerals themselves in Revelation 13:18 KJB, the “... Six hundred threescore and six.” have a [koine] Greek meaning for each numeral:

666; chi-xi-stigma χξC and thus means “chi-xi-stigma χξC Root word:​

the G22d (agamos ἄγαμος unmarried, unwedded, single),​

G14th (agathoergeō ἀγαθοεργέω to work good, to do good, to do well, act rightly)​

and an obsolete letter (4742 [stigma, mark, stick, prick] as a cross) of the Greek alphabet (intermediate between the G5th (abba ἀββα Abba = "father") and G6th (Habel Ἅβελ Abel = "vanity (that is: transitory)")), used as numbers” [Strong's].​

The meaning of the [koine] Greek numeral 666, is thus, an “unmarried [single] father who is marked by claiming good works, but all that he does is unlasting vanity”. See also Matthew 6:5, 23:5 KJB, etc. The very position of popery.

In the Sanctuary, is God’s truth (Psalms 77:13 KJB), but Satan perverts every single thing in God’s complete system of truth, and therefore, Satan inverts the sanctuary in all aspect, for we are not unwise to his devices ….

Exodus 26:35 KJB - And thou shalt set the table without the vail, and the candlestick over against the table on the side of the tabernacle toward the south: and thou shalt put the table on the north side.​

Side note, the table of shewbread, is the symbol of the Throne of God in the Holy Place, as it was covered in Gold, had a crown [for Kings] molding, and two places for bread, 6 and 6, a place for the Father and Son on the throne, as the Son lives by the word [bread] of the Father, we are to live by the word [bread] of Jesus [John 6:57; Revelation 3:21 KJB], of which the Tree of Light in the Holy place has 6 branches [Exodus 25:32,33,35,37:18,19,21 KJB] out of the central stock, even as it represents the Holy Spirit [Revelation 1:4, 3:1, 4:5, 5:6, 22:17 KJB], and this light [2 Peter 1:19 KJB] coming from Him, is the Spirit of Prophecy [Revelation 19:10 KJB] working in holy men, as they are moved by the Holy Ghost [2 Peter 1:20-21 KJB], thus the number 6 is the number of man [Genesis 1:26-31 KJB].

Thus Satan perverts the 666 of the Sanctuary, corrupting the Word of God, and puts in its place the word of men, and perverts the Golden branches, and the holy oil therein poured in by the Holy Spirit, for a false and lying spirit to deceive, that we may rely upon him and his ‘ministration of death’, that we may be branches separated from the true tree and vine – Christ Jesus.

Where did the extra 1 come from? As for the latter portion in the reply, please begin with my original post in regards the Koine Greek makeup of the number 666, as it inherently teaches about an "unmarried (single) father", which ties into my other post, in its point #5, which briefly shares about the "many" in the days of the Apostles.

However, let us look more closely, by comparing scripture [KJB] with scripture [KJB], and consider that Paul also mentioned this, under another phraseology.

2 Thessalonians 2:3 speaks of the "falling away", being the Great Apostasy (which is even now being repeated, as per Ecclesiastes 1:9, 3:15, etc.), compare to Daniel 7:8,11,20-21,24-26, 8:11-14,23-27, 11:21,31-45; wherein this Antichrist power -

Daniel 8:11 - "... magnified himself even to the prince of the host ...", which words, "even to" mean to make himself equal to, or to come up to the position/place, covering the whole length, breadth or distance or time, etc., (see Isaiah 25:12, 26:5, etc.). "The prince of the host", speaks about Jesus in the position of High Priest (who is over the kingdom of priests, Royal nation, holy priesthood), see that in H8269; Isaiah 43:28 ("princes of the sanctuary"); Ezra 8:24,29, 10:5 ("chief of the priests", etc.); see also G750, G748, G749. (More detail in this later when, by the grace of God, I demonstrate that Michael is Jesus, by scripture [KJB] and historical, and even Baptist, sources.)

Daniel 8:25 - "... by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes ...", and the word "peace" being associated with the Gospel (Luke 2:14; a corrupted one, Galatians 1:6-9), and again a standing up against (in opposition to, as an alternative High Priest) the Prince of princes (see previous remark on "prince").

Daniel 11:36 - "... he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvelous things against the God of gods ...", notice the "exalt". "magnify', "against", but more so, notice that he would be "above every god", and this word "god" points to the priests (priesthood of believers and the rulers), see Exodus 22:28; Psalms 82:1,6, 138:1; John 10:34-35.

Thank you for that as it was an interesting interpretation on Nero. The fact remains that in Johns time there wasn't one that stood out and as John says here there were many... And down through out history there have been many Anti-Christ and one cannot point the finger at just one... Anyone against the Gospel Of Christ is anti-Christ... So it remains what are you going to do with what John says here... Seems to me John is talking about his day... You may say it future but that doesn't fit even though you try to make fit... Daniel 11:37 - "... he shall magnify himself above all ..."; which Paul cites in 2 Thessalonians 2:4 - "Who opposeth and exalteth above all that is called God, or that is worshipped ...", again in the context of priests, thus a person would arise out of them all, being "Lord over" the flock of God, usurping it, and that position would be held (grasped) by 'successors', and thus a whole line of Antichrist, culminating in a single position over the whole church of God.

Jesus also mentions "false Christ's", being 'pseudo-Christos' in Matthew 24:24; Mark 13:23, which were to arise.

Paul mentions in Acts 20:29 - "... grievous wolves enter in among you ...", which is in the context of Acts 20:28 - "... over the flock ...", "overseers" (being the place/office of bishop/elders).

Paul continues by saying, Acts 20:30 - "Also of your ownselves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.", so coming from without and from within to lead astray the flock, by taking leadership positions when the flock is asleep and not watching and praying.

Paul gives examples in 1 Timothy 1:29, "Hymenaeus and Alexander", "blaspheme", and see in 2 Timothy 2:17, "... their word will eat as doth a canker (cancer): of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus ...", of which context is in 2 Timothy 2:15-16,18, about the word of God, prophane and vain babblings, increase unto more ungodliness, concerning the truth have erred.

2 Timothy 3:1-9, speaks about "... in the last days ...", "... blasphemers ...", having a "... form of Godliness, but denying the power thereof ...", "... creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with diverse lusts ...", which "houses" are Churches, Acts 2:46, 20:20, 1 Timothy 5:13, and the "women" are the foolish (Matthew 25), like Eve, who fell, listening to that wicked one who snuck into the garden, while Adam, the priest head of the garden homeschool, was not aware, Eve, then fell prey to diverse lusts; flesh, eyes, pride of life (1 John 2:6).

1 Timothy 4:1-5, "... in the latter times some shall depart from the faith ...", which is a "falling away" (2 Thessalonians 2:3), see also Luke 8:13, because of a 'drawing away' (like Eve from the side of Adam), in Acts 5:37; James 1:13-15; Genesis 4:5-8; Job 15:35; Psalms 7:14; Isaiah 59:4; Romans 5:12-21, 6:21-23.

"antichrists" in 1 John 2:18-19 is contextually linked to 1 John 2:20-24,26, which when seen in all the above is more clearly explained, though I will have to come to what the text means by denying that Jesus "c(a)me in the flesh", in a later post. Very serious business that. Roman Catholicism does that more than any other system of theology and practice on earth. To be demonstrated later.

Paul clearly spoke of the "mystery of iniquity" (lawless, sin) that was already at working in his own day, even as Daniel shows it would (Daniel 11:21, etc), and that it was already the "last time" (being the last 2 Cosmic Week days (days 5 & 6), the last 2,000 years from Christ Jesus. ( the Great Cosmic Week is 6,000 years of Gospel work, and 1,000 years (in Heaven) of Rest (being the Great 7th Day, the Day of the Lord, the Last Day); see Revelation 20; Isaiah 24; Genesis 1; 2 Peter 3:8; Isaiah 46:9,10; Matthew 13:35, etc.

2 John 1:7 - "... many deceivers are entered into the world ...", "... deceiver and Antichrist ...", see also 1 John 2:22, and 1 John 4:3, "... the spirit of antichrist ..."

"Anti -" in scripture [KJB], had a fee meanings, one of which means

Once the "beast" from the "sea" [Revelation 13:1, etc.] is identified from scripture [KJB], then it's "mark" is also able to be identified, with clarity.

In short (details upon request), the "beast" from the "sea" [Revelation 13:1, etc.] is Papal Rome. It's "mark" (identified from scripture [KJB], history and their own official proclamations), is that of it's blasphemous claim to "think" that it could, through human "reason" (which they erroneously claim is unfallen), be able to "change times and laws" [Daniel 7:25 KJB] of the Most High God (The Ten Commandments, Exodus 20:1-17, especially in that singular and Holy commandment, the fourth, dealing with God's Holy law of time, the 7th day the Sabbath of the Lord thy God, Exodus 20:8-11), and thus its stated prerogative of, "... The [Roman Catholic] Church is above the Bible; and this transference of Sabbath observance from Saturday to Sunday is proof positive of that fact. ..."(1.)

Therefore, Roman Catholicism's "mark", is their claim to such authority as to legislate, to the world, its own law of morality, Sunday being it's utmost symbol (identifying "mark", found in the actions (hand) and thinking/teaching (forehead)) of it's blasphemous claim.

The Papacy ties it's Sunday morality to the natural disasters (today called "climate change", "global warming", etc.), and blames the desecration of Sunday for the increase of such things. Read the Papal encyclical, "Laudato Si", for direct evidence (to be cited and highlighted later, as God's providence allows).

Sister Ellen G. White (the messenger of the Lord) shewed these things over 100 years ago, even of which, the scriptures [KJB] already said. Notice, from the book. The Great Controversy:

"... [Page 589] Satan works through the elements also to garner his harvest of unprepared souls. He has studied the secrets of the laboratories of nature, and he uses all his power to control the elements as far as God allows. When he was suffered to afflict Job, how quickly flocks and herds, servants, houses, children, were swept away, one trouble succeeding another as in a moment. It is God that shields his creatures, and hedges them in from the power of the destroyer. But the Christian world have shown contempt for the law of Jehovah; and the Lord will do just what he has declared that he would, he will withdraw his blessings from the earth, and remove his protecting care from those who are rebelling against his law, and teaching and forcing others to do the same. Satan has control of all whom God does not especially guard. And then the great deceiver will persuade men that those who serve God are causing these evils. The class that have provoked the displeasure of Heaven will charge all their troubles upon those whose obedience to God's commandments is a perpetual reproof to transgressors. It will be declared that men are offending God by the violation of the Sunday-sabbath, that this sin has brought calamities which will not cease until Sunday observance shall be strictly enforced, and that those who present the claims of the fourth commandment, thus destroying reverence for Sunday, are troubles of the people, preventing their restoration to divine favor and temporal prosperity. Thus the accusation urged of old against the servant of God will be repeated, and upon grounds equally well established. "And it came to pass, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said unto him, Art thou he that troubleth Israel? And he answered, U have not troubled Israel; but thou, and thy father's house, in that ye have forsaken the commandments of the Lord, and thou hast followed Baalim." [1 Kings 18:17,18.]. As the wrath of the people shall be excited by false charges, they will pursue a course toward God's ambassadors very similar to that which apostate Israel pursued toward Elijah. ..." - The Great Controversy, pages 589-590​

Now, when persons say, "scripture", "scriptural", etc, to me, I generally have no idea what they, themselves, mean by those words, as they generally never define, or demonstrate what they are talking about, when they say those words/things.

Therefore, I was simply defining from the start (title & OP), that when I use those terms/words ("scripture", "scriptural", etc.), in identifying the 666, etc., I mean specifically the King James Bible, which is, the word of God in English.
