I'd also add that Evangelicals who vote for Trump lose the right to quote 2 Chronicles 7:14 when speaking about saving the nation without adding on a conditional clause about conservative Supreme Court justices.

2 Chronicles 7:14 was a promise given to ancient Israel. Americans cannot claim it. There are many other commandments for Christians to pray in the Bible, but we are not promised the healing of the land.

It is silly when right-leaning Christians quote this verse reading America into it and saying God has made some promise to bless our land.....He hasn't.

I'm not saying that YOU are silly. I'm just saying that we all too often forget context.
