95% of European Covid-19 deaths are people over 60

95 percent of European coronavirus fatalities are people older than 60, WHO says

And 50% of all deaths are over 80.
The telling is that older people have many more medical problems called comorbidities than younger people, older people are sicker and have been artificially extended in their lives from modern medical practices. If you have been in old people's nursing homes and spent time with many you will know what I am talking about. I saw on the news a 60 yr old guy trembling in his arms to open an outside window for his 80 yr old mother brought out of a nursing home to extend her life, (the home was heavily infected with Covid), he did not look much better than her even in his interview just sitting their talking. You also see it in Biden who looks very old and frail.

Then you will have older people who survive this who will have lasting complications like lung scarring. they may have to be on oxygen the remainder of their life. And older people who have been on respirators for any reasons, when they are weaned off, also are more likely to die, they have studies that show that. So even if older people survive the Covid flu, they are more likely to die than if never infected. This flu virus takes months and years off your life even if you get better, if your high risk. Let's face it, people are mortal.

I should think that the American statistics will be very much like the European statistics of 95% over 60.

Biden is in such poor shape mentally that you have to feel sorry for him. He has had a face lift, hair plugs, and gotten a new set of dentures, but they have forgotten to download the app to tell him where he is and what day of the week it is.

He looks frail and weak. His VP pick will need close scrutiny by any thinking to vote for him. Imagine some progressive women governor becoming POTUS, like that Michigan govenor!

The thing is, that it is taking out people with a reduced autoimmune system or as they call it 'compromised', and if you check the label on the drugs they are passing out lately for a lot of the medical issues, such as transplants, arthritis, diabetes, etc., it tells you it does exactly that. So that is what is accounting for many of those dying, especially those that leave the doctors scratching their heads. They come in, with a slight cough or sniffle, and die that night or next day. Its my hunch they were on these types of drugs...

The "uncompromised', mostly the young or those in good health with little history of use of medicines, leave the hospital just slightly worse for wear as they say, a few days later..

Saw 50% of people have no symptoms which means the virus is not very deadly.

Yes. The virus is not very deadly and for a large majority people (80% of confirmed cases and more when you count undetected asymptomatic cases) they get mild to moderate symptoms and do not need hospitalization. However it is very infectious causing exponential spread and has a reasonably high complication rate for young and older people leading to hospitalization (20%) and ICU (5%). For comparison influenza has a hospitalization rate of around 1% and a death rate of around 0.1%.

Even in hospital, most people survive and if your hospital system is not overrun, 99% of confirmed cases survive with most deaths occurring in the elderly and people with preexisting conditions.

The problem happens when exponential spread of the virus leads to so many cases coming into hospital that the system becomes overwhelmed which happened in Wuhan, Italy, Spain and now the US. That is when lots more people die because hospitals can no longer deliver basic care due to patient load.

But what did they practice for and prepare for all these years... If this is the new normal, only the young and 'uncompromised' by these drugs will be alive.....Hmm.

People who die develop pneumonia due to a cytokine storm. Their own immune system kills them bringing on pneumonia. This is how most flu deaths occur.

But if these drugs are 'tinkering' with the immune system, it might be causing the over 'reaction'.

I don’t understand what those sentences are asking. Who practiced and prepared for what? What drugs for whom? What new normal?

I don’t mind answering your questions but you need some context to what you are taking about.

50% with no symptoms says nothing about how deadly a disease might be.
It does cause us to be concerned however when we realize that a large number of asymptomatic people can spread the disease without even realizing it.

Actually it does tell you the virus is not that deadly. If it was the asymptomatic cases would be nil. Of course that does not fit the fear and loathing narrative does it being promoted by so many people.

“Many cases are apparently asymptomatic. This is both good and bad news, because it means the virus lethality may be lower than initially thought, but also that people can unknowingly spread the virus,” Patrick T. Dolan, a virologist at University of California, San Francisco, told Fox News.

Half of people with coronavirus have no symptoms, data shows

But by all means continue with the world is ending stories, as it is great for attracting eyeballs to websites.
Too many Americans are fat and diabetic and that is associated with the rising numbers of deaths
Dr. Nicole Saphier: Coronavirus – Deaths rising due to chronic illness, obesity should alarm us all

People who are puffed up like balloons should be worried, but not just for dying from Corona virus.
Americans live very unhealthy lifestyles.

The knowledge of low lethality (although still higher than influenza) is something I have been saying since the first post I've made on this forum about covid19 about 3 weeks ago. I've been telling people not to panic, but definitely to act because covid 19 is very infectious, causes many hospitalizations and brings health systems to collapse. That is when the deaths happen as we are now witnessing.

Please listen to Trump now

Yes do not panic because if you are young and healthy, you are likely to get a very mild illness that is similar to a cold, recover and then be immune. But you are not the ones we in the medical field are worried about. But you are the ones who can make the difference between this becoming a really bad epidemic for the US or a complete disaster for the US.

Because if this virus is just allowed to go unchecked, your hospitals and ICUs will get overrun very quickly. That is when people start dying, when doctors are forced to triage patients like a war zone and abandon patients before they have a chance at getting any treatment because there are 20 other patients who also need that ventilator. And when that happens, your best Emergency and ICU physicians and nurses will be dying as well because they will be exposed to large doses of the virus through a small mistake in how they use or remove their PPE.

Yes this will pass eventually. But what public health officials are trying to do is allow it to pass with the least devastation to the elderly, health care workers and health system as possible. Listen to Trump and your public health officials because that is the loving thing to do for your neighbours and your country.

No, that doesn't square with what has been reported, what you have posted.

COVID-19 deaths are not happening due to hospital incapacity. Deaths are happening due to already compromised health in those contracting it. In fact, the death rate for these individuals is very high.

Perhaps you were being hyperbolic to scare people into listening to you?

And older folks bring lots of value to our societies of wisdom, lost history, care for young ones, values, family heritage. And we should not be sacrificing them so that our porfolios and bank accounts will look better, right?
I think I rather like this comment, as a large percentage on this board are over 60. However, some of them, maybe most of them, take issue with you. So you may want to rethink your statement, assuming you actually believe it. :Wink
