When three Baptists assemble there is generally four opinions!

Always been the same since I became a Baptist back in 1945..............

Cheers,

Jim

Yes, I have read some old Baptist sermons, and they make a lot more sense than your posts in this thread.
Try reading them from the 1600's.

It is one thing to disagree, it is quite another to tell someone their theology is mixed up, especially to a fellow pastor.
Don't you think that Larry is fully capable of defending himself? I am quite confident that he is a godly man and would point it out if I were to offend him in any way.

Seems like that was the case in the Bible among godly men and women too. I would think that if the truth were known everyone of us would stand up for those we have sharply disagreed with too.

You know this has very little to do with the substance of the disagreement. It has to do with the never changing pattern of name calling and cutting others down, whether it be organizations like the SBC or fellow pastors.

I work in a factory/maintenance environment, and would expect such there. Pastors are suppose be a notch above that.

Did you read post #62?

Yes, it made no sense.
What part of the following quote do you not understand? "Don't you think that Larry is fully capable of defending himself? I am quite confident that he is a godly man and would point it out if I were to offend him in any way."

That how I know you wrote it.
What are you trying to say?

Yes, I am sure the person you are speaking of is a Godly man. No doubt he can defend himself. That is not what is confusing. What is confusing is why you refer to a Godly man as a Mormom or Catholic-like.

What part about all the other posts do you not understand?

If you had read every post, I think you would have seen that I clarified that when Larry responded to me regarding that issue.

I read the posts, as I have yours for a few years. Its kind of like knowing the same John wrote the Book of John and John 1,2,3. The style is the same.

Do you know the difference between asking questions to draw a person out and making statements of accusation?

Would you mind giving the exact quote where I named Larry as a Mormon and Catholic?

From post 51 by you.
Are you a Catholic? The RCC would agree with you. You should be ashamed to be a Baptist then because your Baptist church is disobedient and without justification. The largest mission organization in America that plants churches is not supported by any convention, denomination, or any local church.

From post 53 by you.
How does that make God different then than He is now? Isn't he the same today. He does not change. The problem is that your theology smacks of many parallels to Mormonism. Those who support Mormonism use that same argument to support their doctrine and against Christianity in regards to progressive revelation. I take the position that whatever name you give it that God is still the same today as He was then and chose to deal with and reach Abraham with what he could identify with.

Any more questions?

You theology has many parallels to most any cult too. How does that make you a cult member? I am quite sure that a lot of your theology agrees with the RCC as well. Just because your theology agrees with a lot of RCC theology does not suggest that you are a Catholic.

What is your point? (By asking that question I am not suggesting that you are a point.)

Just how does what I believe agree with RCC, and how do you come to that conclusion when you know nothing about me?

The modern term for you is theologically challenged. Or, to quote the Blue Collar Comedy Tour, "Here's your sign."

Am I to assume you are a Satanist or shall I assume you are a Baptist? If you are a Satanist then yes I am wrong in that you would not asgree with much of the RCC. However I am assuming you are a Baptist.

While I am sure we would agree there are numerous diferences. Shall I assume you believe: in God, in Jesus, in the Holy Spirit, Jesus is God, in the trinity, Jesus was born of a virgin, in heaven, in hell, Jesus is the messiah, in sin, in eternity? If oyu do then you agree with the RCC.

I am not sure what you mean by the name calling? I do not watch much TV so can you explain what you mean and give an example?

You have not answered the following questions:

From post #78, "What is your point? (By asking that question I am not suggesting that you are a point.)

From post #75, "Do you know the difference between asking questions to draw a person out and making statements of accusation?"

You asked, "No doubt these pastors you met were all in the SBC, isn't that right?"
Response: Again I ask you why did you ask this question?

I am waiting for an answer in an effort to try and undertsand how your question is not one of antagonism but rather seeking to edify.
