A big chair in Jerusalem???

Hey guys, let's get a list of everyone on this forum that believes Jesus is returning "to the earth" to sit on a big chair in Jerusalem, I guess in a rebuilt stone ediface on Mt. Moriah.

Yes - you believe that scenario.

No - You do not believe that scenario.

Silence means you're stuck and don't know what to say without getting in trouble.

Let the votes fly! We'll discuss the outcome and it's implication's tonight, beginning at, say, 6:00. Should be a good discussion.

I believe Jesus is going to reign from Jerusalem. I don't know how large his throne will be. I don't know what it will be made out of.

I'm not sure that you couldn't find a definition of silence in Proverbs 26.

Rev 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

Big, Big Throne.

While the Bible doesn't give the dimensions of the throne like the ark, yes, Jesus will reign from Jerusalem on His throne.

We all shall see Jesus shall come as He sits on the throne to judge all nations at the second coming - Matt. 25:31-46. Christ's own white throne shall be bring down from the heaven, to be revealed to all nations. I believe Christ's own white throne will be revealed in physical and literal at Christ's coming.

I have no idea how big Christ's own throne looks like, but I am no doubt, the judgment day shall be so terror and tremble on the Lord's day at Christ's coming - Daniel 7:9-10; and 2 Cor. 2:10-11.

There is no record find any information from any books of the history saying that a person sees Jesus Christ sits on a literal white throne which bring down from the heaven to judge the world in that year 70 A.D.

Obivously, we know that Christ's own throne is NOW still up above in the heaven right now. So, Matthew 25:31-46; Daniel 7:9-10; 1 Cor. 3:12-15; 2 Cor. 2:10-11; Rev. 20:11-15, etc. all are NOT yet occur in the humankind ear history. The judgement must be take place by follow the revelation of Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed to all nations by visibly and physical - Matt. 24:30; Acts 1:9-11; and Rev. 1:7 too.

In Christ
Rev. 22:20 -Amen!

There are two thrones. The throne of God, where Jesus is seated right now by the Father, is a separate throne from the throne of David in Jerusalem. Simple, really.

But I'm not going to argue with you about it.

The Below post was copied from the deleted thread "looks like we are split..."

I deleted this thread because it is the same topic found under this thread.

Split on the big chair in Jerusalem issue. interestingly, the ones who said they believe that scenario could give no scriptural prooftext, as requested. In fact, two of the ones who voted yes basically said that Christ's throne is in heaven, which is absolutely true.

The thing is, there aren't two thrones guys. Neither is the throne of Christ a two-stage operation, heavenly and earthy. He ascended to a heavenly throne, where he will remain forever, higb and lifted up, not brought down to hot dusty Jerusalem by modern dispensationalists.

frogman,

I have a little bit disagree with you. You saying Christ's own throne shall not brought down from the heaven according what dispensationalism teaching.

Matthew 25:31 says, "When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:"

Of course, Matt. 25:31 does not saying Christ's throne shall be ON earth at the second advent.

I believe when Christ shall come with his angels. Old heavens and old earth shall be passed away first - Rev. 20:11. There will be no more old planet earth. All nations shall be gathering and divided them into two sides. I believe Christ's throne shall be revealed from the heaven in physical and visibly, but His throne must be somewhere in the AIR (well as in the clouds!) to judge all nations.

Then when after the judgement is finished. Christ shall recreate new heavens and a new earth. Then shall send New Jerusalem descend from the heaven, and put it on the new earth. SO, Christ's throne shall be set down ON new earth in New Jerusalem, we all shall come and worshipping Christ there forever and ever.

In Christ
Rev. 22:20 -Amen!

DeafPostTrib,
You may disagree with me, but it is not on the physical reign of Christ from the throne of His father David. That will be in Jerusalem, the only place David ever had a throne and reigned over united Israel.

You are thinking I posted the reply above yours? it is a copied post from Gerard on another thread of the same topic as this one, so I removed it from there, deleted the duplicate thread and added the post here, then signed my name to my work :D

Will Christ reign on Earth for a thousand years?

All in favor please signify by pushing your left arm up close to your side, shoving your left hand forward for a three-D effect and superimposing your left opposable thumb,

Need a picture? You got it...

Scripture please. :D

You asked me;
Will Christ reign on Earth for a thousand years?
Does Revelation chapter 20 saying Christ shall reign 1,000 years ON earth?

I'm boycotting this trolling OP = opening post.

For those who actually come back to ongoing
discussions:
----------------------------
The BB now has way to many Eschatological topics.
I'm spending more time on Eschatology than
working :(

I'll be responding to these and other matters
at this location:

(BTW, the non-baptists seem to be more
congenial than baptists anyway  )

I am locking this thread.

There are many others this topic can be discussed on.

BTW, I do have and use a Scofield Bible, I do believe he is but a man. I do believe many of his teachings are error, especially on the church. I rarely look at his notes because I find I am in disagreement with him.

I also have a KJ Study Bible, it is based on the Scofield edition notes.

Anyway, this thread is locked.
