This poll has UK at # 9.

College Football Power Rankings: Kentucky, Washington State stun by vaulting into top 10

“The Wildcats can absolutely beat Georgia in a winner-take-all game for the SEC East. Their defense will keep it close. Benny Snell will be able to run against a suspect Georgia front. It took a near-miracle at Mizzou but here Kentucky is.”

The UK defense is giving up 12.9 ppg. They held Missouri to 14 points(all in 1st half) when they scored 63 vs Memphis their last game.

They have projected Florida taking on UCF in the Fiesta bowl.

I have seen UK projected to be in either the Citrus or Outback bowl. Neither is all that great, but way better than the Music City bowl, Indepence, or Tidy bowl.

I loved Coach Spurrier’s comment, “You can’t spell Citrus without UT.” That spiced up the UT-UF rivalry.

SEC champ: Georgia
Big Ten champ: Wisconsin
ACC champ: Clemson
Big 12 champ: TCU
PAC champ: Washington

Which one(s) will be bumped from the 4-team playoff: TCU

National Champion: Georgia

Will Notre Dame make playoff? No; but will if at least 2 conference champs have =>2 losses [I predict 2 losses for ND]

Conf. team with best chance to make playoff as non-champ of conf.: Auburn

Heisman Trophy winner: RB Jonathan Taylor, Wisconsin

If you care to, answer these same ?'s or post others.

Well, I significantly overrated TCU and Wisconsin. I overrated Georgia, but not IMO by much. I underrated Notre Dame, though I still think Clemson will dominate them in the Playoff. Kyler Murray has the best combination of quick&slick that I have ever seen in a QB, and I don't think Oklahoma would be the Big 12 champ, let alone in the Playoff, without him.But they do have to play Alabama in the semi, and if any defense can control him...

So,I think it will be Clemson v. Alabama again the CG.
