You know, somewhere along the line I got the idea that Texas Sky was a woman.

Let me see if I can find it.

Every once in a while someone new comes to this board and the first time someone shoots holes in their little theological hobby horse they threaten to take their marbles and go home. "Boo Hoo, everyone here is so un-Christian, wah,wah,wah..... :( :( :( .
Go find yourself a good new age board to post on where everyone can just live and let live. Passionate debate is what shaped the church and this great country.

Be still when you have nothing to say; when genuine passion moves you, say what you've got to say, and say it hot. D.H Lawrence

    Dr. Bob,

Not cold at all. Why is it when someone speaks the truth in love, no one sees the love?

Tex is wrong, has been told that she is wrong, and is now sulking.

You are right, this is a debate forum. I've noticed that if one makes a factual statement with no animosity, whatsoever, one can still be accused of being harsh, unloving, arrogant, etc.

    Whatever.

Joseph, it was Texas who was accusing those who don't immunize their children with practicing the equivalent of abortion!

"This sounds harsh, but I don't see a huge difference in refusing to get your chlid the medical care it needs, and in allowing an abortion. Both things are cases of parents making decisions that result in the unnecessary deaths of children because of parental actions. I think both actions are forms of murder."

Correct you are. Truthfully, I have my own views about the whole immunization issue, but just chose not to get too involved in that one. Each side was accusing the other of being abusers, abortionists, and lacking in faith. I personally don't find the issue to be worthy of arguing about and getting involved in that kind of name calling, and so I pretty much steered clear of it. I didn't, however, throw a fit and threaten to leave because in the end, the thread is full of opinions being freely expressed, and those freely not being expressed.

Jbot - I have seldom seen you NOT get involved. But commend you NOT posting. You can be one of the most irritating posters on the BB, you know, but we put up with you! [IMG]

Me, on the other hand? I'm always Mr Nice!

Texas, a lot of Christians are very hypocritical about this. Somehow they are not intelligent enough to disagree with someone tactfully. Then use the truth in love and tough love as an excuse for their actions.

I played church and city ball (basketball, softball) for 20 years or so. It seems that Christians take advantage of others by being rude and arrogant to each other playing on their Christian attitudes to not do anything. In the unsaved league there is much more respect and less arguing. You see if you spout off, in “truth and love” to the wrong guy you will be smiling out the back of your head.

People claim to be educated but can’t communicate without insulting? No, these are little men as Dr. Tim says. Hiding behind a keyboard. Don’t let them fool ya. Stick around.

What are our options when the offenders are administrators and moderators? </font>[/QUOTE]Probably not too many, I was sent intimidating emails from an moderator when I first joined because he did not like the fact that I posted in the "Fundmentalist" forum and he did not consider Seventh Day Baptists fundamental enough and tried to intimidate me out of posting there. I certainley did however report his harrasment to the webmaster, and it wasnt to long before he was gone. I have scince got the impression that I was not the only one being harassed in that manner.

People often in the heat of an argument will say "I will pray for you", my advice is do that, Pray for those that are acting in a poor manner, and at the same time pray for missions, the harrassment will soon stop as satan does not seem keen on having his seeds of discord used as encouragment for people to pray for missions.

TexSky, IMO, there is often a lot of "truth" from certain posters but not a whole lot of "love". However, since I quit seeking man's approval years ago, I find it more pathetic than annoying. Just try to focus on being thankful that our God is more merciful than a lot of self-righteous Christians, and remember, they come in all religions, not just Baptist.

The Truth be true--whether we believe or not.

We all need to consider the scripture which says that we are to be "wise as serpents and harmless as doves".

Sometimes we need to get a thicker "armor" instead of a thicker "skin" and a "stiff" neck.

Thank the Lord, we have an opportunity to share His grace with others.

Let us not forget where all good things originate.

    Selah,

    Bro. James

P.S."and they all forsook Him and fled". Where were YOU when they crucified The Lord?

Thanks for your sharing. It is good to see that out-of-line moderators will be dealt with.

it is probably a good thing that i am not a moderator with the power to thin things out.
i think from what i have seen in some of you post tex is it is more suitable for a unitarian message board.

Tex, if you feel you must leave, bye. Debate forums aren't "lovey dovey" and at times they're not civil. Varying opinions can bring out the best and worst in people. Just depends on the subject. I have to agree with Dr. Bob....I've read several of your postings, rebukes from others towards those posts, and believe that this is just you're way of bowing out because you can't handle the heat. Maybe that IS the best thing for you to do. Again....bye.

I sure hope the moderators here don't see their role as a power trip to censor those who disagree with their theological positions.

Just a note to say I didn't see a hint of unitarianism in TexasSky's posts. Of course, you would probably call me the antichrist.

    It's a free world Texas.
The decision is yours to choose as you wish.
As I have told others in the past, this is debate forum not a complaint forum. Therefore, this thread will be closed.
