The one with the boxer is more real than you imagine :Laugh

Oh, don't I know it! Except instead of a boxer, it's a Border Collie couple. We have a large flat top steamer trunk at the foot of our bed with a nice dog bed on it, but get up during the night...the male takes my pillow and the female curles up where my feet would be. Upon my return, the male has to be reminded of his place on the trunk, the female gets up and moves after an ear rub, and I must admit, it feels so toasty and comfortable slipping my feet into that warm spot she made for my feet, it's a pure pleasure having her keep my spot for a few minutes. AHHHH!;)

And my boxer refuses to move off the center of the bed as well as give up the pillows. LOL.

Mom and dad had Boxers when I was a kid. Fine companion dogs, and a lot of fun, but a bit stubborn at times. ''Toby'' was the first Boxer I met, belonged to dad's best friend when I was 4-5 years old. My brother and I loved that dog and would beg for ''Uncle Fil'' to release him so we could play. Toby would go to the garden and dig a hole, then to our delight would come grab us by the clothes and carry us to the hole and deposit us in it. We thought it great fun!

Yes, Blue is my 1st boxer and like all my other dogs, a rescue. The original owner wanted to put him down so we took him and are discovering the breeds uniqueness in contrast to other dogs. He is my dear wife’ greatest therapy. Her long walks with Blue have served as an ideal exercise for her and a time of contemplative meditation…. She has really bonded with Blue and he with her. For that I’m grateful.

He's a real sweetheart! I've never met a mean Boxer, a few that were a bit goofy, but not mean. Humor, that comes from dad's side, sometimes a bit dark, but he and his siblings always made the most of a bad situation and learned to laugh about it. Mom was the big dog lover, (dad too, but not to such a degree).

Here I am, age two? I took my brother's bottle and was feeding it to our dog. Mom thought it funny enough to capture it on film. I'm not sure, but that white round object in the left lower corner might be my brother's head. The one on the floor is my cousin Jim.
