Yes.
"God is greater than our heart and knows all things." - 1 John 3:20

"Remember the former things long past,
For I am God, and there is no other;
[I am] God, and there is no one like Me,
Declaring the end from the beginning,
And from ancient times things which have not been done
,
Saying, 'My purpose will be established,
And I will accomplish all My good pleasure';" - Isaiah 46:9-10

Was a virgin woman going to be necessary for the Word to be made flesh?
Theologically, "YES" ...
Q. What does it mean that he “was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary”?

A. That the eternal Son of God, who is and remains true and eternal God, took to himself, through the working of the Holy Spirit, from the flesh and blood of the virgin Mary, a truly human nature so that he might also become David’s true descendant, like his brothers and sisters in every way except for sin.
- Heidelberg Catechism (Q & A 35)
Technically, "NO" ... God COULD have done things differently, but chose not to:
"with God all things are possible." - Matthew 19:26
"all things are possible with God." - Mark 10:27
"Abba! Father! All things are possible for You;" - Mark 14:36
"Then the LORD God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being." - Genesis 2:7
Gen 3:15!
A great messianic prophecy:
"And I will put enmity
Between you and the woman,
And between your seed and her seed;
He shall bruise you on the head,
And you shall bruise him on the heel.” - Genesis 3:15 [NASB]
However, it technically comes after "man was created" (a reference back to the first question). So clearly, God announced His plan very early on (which he probably chose before "the beginning of the beginning").

Therefore; The plan, before the man, was, the man with the woman taken from the man and through her seed, the Son, and his brethren, to crush the serpent and destroy his works.

For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee. And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me.
Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; Heb 2:10-14

And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen. Rom 16:20 NKJV

He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8

So that we may boldly say, The Lord, my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. Heb 13:6
