IMO, Truman, the most underrated president of modern times.
He had the courage to do the unthinkable - and thereby saved countless lives and the world from the tyranny of Hirohito (who paid a horrible price)!

I agree Hank. I believe history will judge him as a great president. We are too near to his term for a definite analysis to be made. I have read that is not possible for at least 100 years from a president's term of service.
He did have a horrible decision to make. But, IMHO, he saved millions of lives, American, allied and Japanese, by making the decision that he made.
