Good morning johnd. The point of my post has nothing to do with getting to heaven or not getting to heaven. The story I posted illustrates the earthly consequences of telling even a "little white lie."

Personally, I do not believe there is such a thing as a "little white lie." All untruth is a lie whether we deem it to be "big" or "small."

I hope that helps. I would be happy to give it another try if this is not what you were looking for.

Well Pastor_Bob I for one thought it was halarious! [IMG] There is a good sermon that could be preached about lying out of the story too. The Lord always has a way to get us if we step over the line. In that poor womans case with the cake.... [IMG]....you know the lady who lied had to come clean when they cut that TP cake. Hi pastor, johnd here.
Boy am I glad that you turnd up I thourght for one minute that I would be utterly disapproved of and condemed :( [IMG] :( [IMG] but I see that some tread were angel frear to tread,
I was so surprised when I seen your thread on white lies [IMG] Hi Hi, it was quite funny and I did have a chuckle [IMG]
I gave a word on lies, two or three years ago it`s in the Book of corinthians ch:6 v 5 to 14
    see also Revelation 21: v 6 to 12 it`s quite a
revelation two see that in ch 21:v 6 to 8 that liars all liars shall have part in the lake which is the second death.it`s quite scarry would you say, that a liar will be judged the same as a murders and all will burn in the lake of fire. white lies are just the opening of the Door for the enemy to come in, and then he will start to Build on it, so we must watch and [IMG] pray [IMG] so we must watch and pray that we are not court out unaware, what do you think pastor.
AM also am a pastor, I have not mention this before as I had not feel it necessary at the time, all my Love in the Lord to you all

Sin is sin the eyes of God. Even if one lie was the only sin that mankind ever committed, Jesus would have still had to die on the cross as the perfect sacrifice for that one lie. That is why God hates all sin equally. All sin must be covered by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.

I agree 100%. When Satan can deceive us to the point that we are categorizing sin, then he has us right where he wants us. Our tendency is to think that "little sins" carry little consequences, and "big sins" carry bigger consequences. We then began to "weigh out" the presumed consequences of a given action and determine whether or not it is "worth it." Satan can easily defeat the Christian who possesses this mindset.

God bless you, brother, as you serve our Savior.
