A massive wave of pastors is retiring. What’s next?

In the church we planted and pastored 15 years we had elders. They took graduate classes on line from seminary. On our last Sunday, we ordained as teaching elder my replacement. Training and mentoring in the local church, enhanced by variety of education, filled the need as I passed 50 years in ministry and had to retire.

Lots of businesses have older workers train their replacements. Why not the church?

Yes! I am so about apprenticeship and dumping the colleges.
