A mighty rushing wind

Acts 2 tells us that on the day of Pentecost "and suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind" If it was only LIKE wind - what do you think it actually was.

It was the Spirit.

The word for “wind” in both Hebrew and Kone Greek is the same word for “spirit or breath”. It is reference to the coming of God Holy Spirit from heaven which resulted in an audible sound as He came upon the Apostles.

8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
