The following short video is interesting and may explain why Obama is reluctant to denounce Islam as a terrorist religion!

Still, no matter what you think, this video changed my mind on numerous back and forth things as to who this man truly is. And if anyone ever calls him a Christian again, I have a short video they may want to view before they ever make that statement again! :flower:

https://www.youtube.com/embed/tCAffMSWSzY

BTW - be he, a Muslim or an atheist, is of no matter to me, so long as he does the job he was elected to do; and that my friend is the one thing he fails to do repeatedly. Do the job he was elected to do?! And when he does his job it is done with support of the religion of Islam in mind! So what did you think of this video?

This is dumb. Of course it matters to you. That's why you started a thread about it.

Do you have something of value to add in regards to the question. This is a debate forum, you know. Not a place to post your insulting narratives.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The President of the United States is not going to call Islam a religion of terror which subsequently makes the United States an enemy to the entire Arabic world. Making the U.S. a bigger target isn't going to do this country any favors. The United States relies on muslim interpreters, informants, and military support for middle eastern operations. You don't alienate those that you rely on or may rely on in the future.

His job was;

to lead the country out of two disastrous wars begun by his predecessor.

to dig the economy out of the free fall his predecessor has gotten us into.

was to lower the unemployment rate.

He did that and more.

His job was not to rubber stamp GOP idea that had gotten us into so many messes.

His job was not to be the president of old white men, but of all the people of the country.

And I don't disagree with you, but it is his hidden agenda for failing to explain that to America that causes me cautious pause. Even a Muslim POTUS would be more loyal to the office of president.

He's explained it multiple times. You just haven't been listening or hearing what you think you should hear.

He's explained multiple times that not every Muslim is a terrorist. He's explained that there are those that utilize the religion of Islam as a platform for terrorism. He's said exactly these things.

What exactly are you expecting him to say? That every Muslim is a terrorist? If you want him to say that, then you expect him to lie simply to suit your agenda.

Well, here are a few links:

A Muslim / an interpretation of Islam that rejects extremism and terrorism; a Muslim who supports Western foreign policy; a non-practicing Muslim or sometimes even a former Muslim

Why don’t Muslim leaders speak out?

That question comes up every time terrorists purporting to be deeply religious Muslims carry out armed attacks that kill innocent people. Where, commentators ask, are the moderate Muslim leaders and why aren’t they decrying the horrors perpetuated by fellow Muslims?

In fact, mainstream Muslims are speaking out, clearly and consistently. Leaders around the world, many of whom I know personally through my work at the Foundation for Ethnic Understanding, have issued strong and unambiguous statements virtually every time a violent attack has occurred, condemning such acts as immoral and counter to the fundamental precepts of Islam.

That is exactly what they want people to say. Like some have tried to do with the demonizing of all black men as more violent than everyone else, the same people have to convince everyone that all Muslims are violent terrorists determined to destroy America and our way of life.

The same folks who have gotten wealthy by investing in the prison industry and free labor from hundreds of thousands of Blacks are the same ones whose wealth will increase if we can start another war.

All you got to do is convince enough Americans that much like the black boogeyman, who wants to rape the white women and eat little white babies, that the Muslim boogeyman wants to develop a nuke to destroy Israel and then the United States.

If you can scare enough people, the GOP can take the WHite House and get that new war they want.

Let me count the ways you libs try to paint the GOP:

1) Warmongers,
2) Xenophobes,
3) Homophobes,
4) Racists,
5) Toss granny from the cliff....
6) War on women.

I'm sure there are more. Maybe you can tell me what I left out when it comes to what the GOP will do to the entitled; food insecure/challenged (new term welfare recipients); blah, blah, blah!

Enlighten us brother ... for being a hardcore liberal, you seem to know more about the GOP and Tea Party conservatives then we know, and it's our party.

"But we also see faith being twisted and distorted, used as a wedge -- or, worse, sometimes used as a weapon. From a school in Pakistan to the streets of Paris, we have seen violence and terror perpetrated by those who profess to stand up for faith, their faith, professed to stand up for Islam, but, in fact, are betraying it. We see ISIL, a brutal, vicious death cult that, in the name of religion, carries out unspeakable acts of barbarism -- terrorizing religious minorities like the Yezidis, subjecting women to rape as a weapon of war, and claiming the mantle of religious authority for such actions. Me thinks you thinks toooooo highly of yourself. But narcissism adds self pride and boasting to the narcissists view of the self when comparing others to themselves. Sad :tear::tear::tear:
