A question about Hillary [Rodham Clinton]

This is the way Gershom sees intelligent and competent women.

They scare him.
Yea, like you but minus the intelligence and competence.

I don't think you could get much more ungodly than George Bush...a man who claims to be a Christian and a champion of the unborn, but doesn't care about the health or education of children once they are born. Also, a man who led this country into a war on false pretenses. Let's be honest, if George Bush is a Christian, no wonder people are skeptical of Christianity. He's not exactly a great example.

Gershom:

Yeah, I guess so. People are so quick to criticize Hillary, but if we bring Bush's flaws to light, we are being unfair... I think it's the double standard again: It's fair to criticize Hillary Clinton, but it's not fair to criticize George Bush. Do I have it right?

I suggest doing a tour through the politics and news forums. Then maybe you would see that there are many posters who are doubly quick to criticize the President as there are who criticize Hillary Fussy Britches.

But this is a thread whose topic is Hillary.

Gershom:

I do read the politics and news forums, and you are right...a lot of people criticize both Hillary and Bush. Fortunately, there is room for both. I know many Christians who are not Bush supporters.

This thread is about Hillary, and I still admire her for courage and intelligence. Just because a woman is intelligent does not mean she is a "loud-mouth feminist".

Hillary obviously has more character and moral fiber than the other two combined.

If she'd moderate her beliefs a little, I might actually consider voting for her.

Let's see... never committed adultery, never went AWOL, never used cocaine, never convicted of theft, never perjured herself...

Seems like she avoided most of the moral lapses her husband and Dubya couldn't resist.

1. You don't know that. I've read otherwise. So who's right?
2. She was never in the military. Try another.
3. You don't know that.
4. Maybe not "convicted." But you don't know if she has never stolen. I've read otherwise. So who's right?
5. Has she been under oath? Again, you don't know if she did.

So much for your little list.

I wonder if the Hillary-haters would spew as much venom toward her if she was a man?

Poor Hillary. She stood by her man. I feel sorry for the woman. I don't agree with her, but I do feel empathy for her. And I gotta say, she's got guts. She went on television and, believing her man, told the whole world he was a victim of a vast right-wing conspiracy. And he played her for a fool.....

The whole planet heard about her husband and Monica and a host of others. And the blue dress. And a lot of private stuff that would humiliate any woman in the eyes of the world. A lot of women would have been so depressed and embarassed, they would have stayed in bed and pulled the covers over their heads. She's got gots. Ya gotta give her that much. No matter what else a person thinks of her - the woman's got chutzpah.

Am assuming that was a compliment, Galatian. :D

When life hands you lemons, a REAL woman will make lemonade, or something like that, LOL.
