A question for pastors that support Obama?

Against abortion is a loaded term so I must explain, there are principles to abortion that I speak very strongly against. If I believed abortion was murder I would throw it in the pile but I find it wrong for other reason including "denying your blessing" which is a frequent topic of mine.
I think he should preach according to the Bible. It's not nearly as easy, and it puts you on the "wrong side" of some issues, but the eternal rewards are far greater, and it actually brings hope.

Here is where I disagree with you because Jeremiah 17:9 says the heart is "deceitful above all things and desperately wicked, who can know it?" A preacher should preach under the annointing of the Holy Spirit, not according to his own heart, understanding, and beliefs. That's just asking for error.

When one preaches according t the bible, he preaches according to his understanding and belief. I the Lord shows me I am wrong, I will gladly be obedient and change to right. I have changed many of my views in the years I've been preaching and know more will change before I get to the kingdom.
This is also why I said in another thread wrong can be right. I know it's a hard to understand concept but for a long time all of the smart people thought the world was flat. To them that was right. It was wrong, but it was right. I have no doubt we are this way with scripture. We do our best according to our understanding, we pray and watch and trust the Lord will know our hearts.

I won't pick on you for that verse you through out but I will suggest reading vs 5 - 11 to get the real tone of the passage.

No it was wrong. Sincerity or unanimity isn't the test of belief. If everyone believed sincerely that the world was flat, it wasn't. And isn't. It never was, and believing it was flat was always wrong.
But that doesn't mean we are right. Your position on abortion is wrong, regardless of how sincere you are. Exod 22 tells us that a baby who is killed in the womb is justification for the death penalty, so in God's eyes, the baby is alive.
I saw someone (I don't remember who) trying to make a distinction between living and alive. How desperate must we be to go down that road? It still amazes me that, on a Christian board, we openly allow people to defend abortion as not being murder.

Most Americans call themselves Christians, but are not aware they are prevented from becoming an heir of the Kingdom of God if they approve of same sex relationships. In order to be a final sacrifice for sins, Jesus Christ had to be perfect (without sin) in respect to the Mosaic Law, which condemns same sex relationships as an abomination. We are conformed to the likeness of Jesus Christ to become heirs of the Kingdom of God, but if our moral values are contrary to His, we prevent Christ from being formed in us to become an heir. This is the reason why those who condone or practice same sex relationships or abortion are not able to become heirs of the Kingdom of God, unless they repent. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever; because He is the image of the invisible God, He is always the same.
If we vote for Barack Obama (who approves of same sex relationships and abortion) we are promoting values that are contrary to Christ and prevent ourselves from becoming heirs of the Kingdom of God. A candidate whose mentor and pastor for twenty years has preached “God damn America” is obviously not born again and not the right choice. This is an appeal to America, that we might be re-stored to be the people of God and a great nation again. Consider what happened to the Roman Empire because of the corruption of the government and people.
"Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!' (Matthew 7:21, 23)
What I say to you in the darkness, speak in the light. And what you hear in the ear, proclaim on the housetops (Matthew 10:27).

Also, there is no candidate running who is without sin. Supporting that candidate is supporting their sin by your theory. That means you shouldn't vote for anyone.
