Over the years I've listen to many speak on the moral decay of all the great societies of the past and how they eventually succumbed to their own internal rot.

Well, so it is here in America. California to be specific. Those folks in that state best beware of falling off into the ocean. They will not get away with their un-Godliness

A band of six Democrats in the California state Senate voted today to advance a bill that has been described as "the worst school sexual indoctrination ever" and would require that school children be taught to admire "lesbian, gay, bisexual and transsexual" role models

Well, if they regard a homeschool as an alternative school, then homeschoolers could come under fire.

I don't live in CA. But to the senator I say, "I have taken notice. I reject your legislation as an abomination to God according to His Holy Word. I call you to repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen."

A little more research suggests to me that home education is excluded from teh definition of an alternative school. Hopefully that is the case.

No doubt this is sad to see, but it also the fault of the church. We are suppose to be leading this nation in all righteousness, instead the nation is going to take the lead.

If you look at those who publically oppossed the legislation, most of them were churches, some non-profit type organizations, and most of the churches were Baptist.

On California, You Left One Ingredient Out!

It is the land of, "Fruits, nuts and flakes!" And now it is financially in ruin as well as corrupt, being led by a governor who should have remained a past, ex-governor!

I am ashamed to admit that I am a resident, and because of my medical needs I stuck in California. I cannot get the same quality medical care by moving to another state and taking up with another medical insurance carrier. Believe me, I've been trying to find a way out for 10 years now, and it is an administrative nightmare and an exercise in futility. My state paid health insurance would be hard to duplicate and find outside of the once "Golden State!"

However, California is not the only state to endorse homos@xuality. There are others that have endorsed and now allow the marriage of same gender sinners. And what state is not governed and run by corrupt politicians? What other states don't have is the atheistic voice of Hollywood, and the liberal left sinners who believe in everything but God.

My third book, due out in early May, addresses this very topic, so I appreciate your making it a post topic. Mankind is slowly, but surely being allowed by the Father to return to their own internal rot. The road (freeway) to hell is forever adding more lanes to accommodate the ever increasing number of souls doomed to their own sinful folly, foolishness, and rejection of the Son.

That may be so, but opposition was not what I was referring to. The problem is the lack of holiness in the lives of us who claim to be Christians.

We lived in Southern California in the early 1950's. My father was in the Marine Corps and was stationed out there. We came back East in 1955.

I can remember being on the beaches out there for hours at a time and never see anyone. Population was scarce back then South of San Diego. We used to go "Grunion Hunting". Ever been? I remember that on occasion WW II Sea Mines would wash up on the beach and the Navy would go out and make 'em void.

Anyway, I flew into LA in 1990 and then on to Anaheim. From a thousand feet up it was absolutely unbelievable. Where one roof top ended the next one began. I couldn't believe it. Population overload for sure. I now live in North Carolina.

California is over crowded for sure, and it is becoming more Hispanic all the time. For instance, the city I live in just reported that our population increased by 89% over the last ten years. The recent census also shows that Perris is now 71% Hispanic.

Without moving from where I've lived the past eighteen years, I've moved from the majority to the minority. I guess that makes me eligible for federal programs that I never before would have had a chance to obtain.

A lot of Californians refer to Southern California as Tijuana-North!

As I said, if it were not for my health problems, insurance, and age, I'd pack up and move out of this state in a heartbeat. However, situations forbid that move from happening, so, my wife and I will finish our life's here among the "fruits, nuts and flakes! :laugh:

RD, what does the number of Hispanics in socal have to do with the OP?

Stand corrected, please. RD was responding to me specifically regarding specific comments I made to him of having lived in S. California back in the early 1950's.

"Alternative schools" are schools for kids who are in some sort of trouble that keeps them from going to normal public school (anything from truancy to drugs and everything in between).

In California, homeschools are considered to be private schools. This shouldn't affect them.

I'm quite glad I'm both a homeschooler and live in Alabama!
