It is all right to put a small wager on the Super Bowl as long as it is less than:

There is really no set amount. A millionaire could do a thousand dollars without harming himself financially, but someone on welfare or having a difficult time making ends meet shouldn't be wagering at all.

I'm so demoralized about the Superbowl that I'll probably pass up watching it this year--just not interested anymore.

I recently bet my girlfriend I could run the 1/4 mile faster than she. The wager was whoever loses, picks up the cost of dinner. I won, btw, and the foccacia bread that evening was fantastic!!!

It would be hard to find a team that has been as bad as our team for as long as they have been bad. I think it would be nothing short of a miracle if the Cardinals made it to the Superbowl in my lifetime and I am only 45.

And my convictions say don't gamble. But, it is a personal conviction.. Anyone who has extra dollars to spend can send them to help support missions somewhere... better investment I would say.
