I confess that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh.npetreley said:No, I wouldn't say it's definite, but I think it's a possibility. If it is serious enough to be accursed, it is serious enough to be a potential sign that you do not belong to Christ. I do not know your hearts, I do not know you the way God knows you. I can't make a call on anyone's salvation. It may be possible that you are all misguided by your desire to see people be obedient. It is possible that some of you do not belong to Him, and others are misguided. It is possible that none of you belong to Him.
Since the OP of this thread was about Tozer's take. Wouldn't it be good to read what his take was?But you all ARE preaching a false gospel (with the possible exception of Tozer, since I haven't read his whole take on it in context). I personally don't think you should be allowed to do so on these boards, but I don't run BB, so it's not up to me.
I pray you stick around and learn to fear God.I can only repeat what Paul has to say about it.
If that makes me a breaker of BB rules, then oust me. I will go gladly!

By their fruits you shall know them right?
So calling someone an idiot and stupid and repeatedly making fun of them is fruit that is acceptable of a "correct" teacher eh?
By their "FRUITS" we shall "KNOW" them. Is that right or wrong?1. I have already address wrongful attitudes and name calling.
2. But the name calling has nothing to do with whether or not a person is a false teacher. You know better than that.

Is name calling and wrongful attitudes "fruit?"
So how can they be okay teachers and we be false teachers?

14 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. 19 We love Him because He first loved us.
How about showing me how I've misused the Scripture instead of just making evidence-less accusations and then running away.1. Use the Scriptures properly. That is all that I will ask of you.

Yet, you've posted 75+ times in a thread that was supposed to be about what he, Tozer, thought and preached.Maybe. As I said in my first response, I'm not a fan of Tozer. It doesn't matter much to me what he thought.

Just go back and read this entire thread and you will find plenty of scripture that has been posted about justification, rewards, loss of rewards, the one and only gospel and plenty of other sound doctrines.J. Is that not what the text says by their "fruits" you will "know" them? What does that mean to you?

It would seem that you are not really interested in this topic enough to research the matter. I suspect you are afraid that you may have a God of judgment that is going to hold you accountable for the things done in your body whether they be good or bad. This doesn't mean He isn't a God of love for according to His word, He is your father and a father that spares the rod hateth His son but He that loves his son chasteneth Him. Rather than seeking out the matter, it is easier to wish it not be true for your flesh would prefer a Father that will let you do anything you want and not be held to account for it.npetreley said:And you have a problem with that, why?
And here is the crux of the matter. In your little world, to defend grace as we have really means we simply want to be licentious without being held accountable. You will probably stay that way until you truly learn what grace means. Nevertheless, I will continue to fight for the true gospel against legalists and those who would add works to it.Rufus_1611 said:It would seem that you are not really interested in this topic enough to research the matter. No, no...Really, REALLY believe.Lacy Evans said:Oooooh!, Oooooh! Pick me! I know this one!!!!

Well according to Scripture works SHOULD be the result of faith. Big difference in what Scripture says and what you say on this matter of works.Works are the RESULT of faith
