d&c's are not normally done as an abortion, but can be and have been used that way, that mass isn't always a baby don't assume what you don't really know about the female body, d&c does not always result in an abortion. You need to learn something about women's real and actual health ebfore making the smae comment on it over and over proving you know very little about the female body.no d&c's........they also abort a mass within the womb
When is D&C carried out?
There are two main reasons for performing a D&C:
- an evacuation D&C is performed in a recently pregnant woman to remove tissue remaining in the womb.
- a gynaecological D&C is part of the investigation of a woman who is experiencing heavy or irregular periods or vaginal bleeding after the menopause.
When is an evacuation performed in a recently pregnant woman?
After, or sometimes during, a miscarriage, the gynaecologist will examine you to see if there is any tissue from the pregnancy remaining in the womb.
An ultrasound scan is the most reliable way to determine this. An evacuation is usually advised to avoid heavy bleeding and prevent a possible infection of the uterus.
An alternative to surgery is a medical evacuation that uses tablets to cause the womb to contract and empty itself. The success rate of a medical evacuation in completely emptying the uterus is slightly less than the surgical approach, but is an option for some women.
If you miscarried at an early stage in pregnancy, or if the amount of remaining tissue is small, a D&C may not be necessary since the remaining tissue will be passed as part of the next period.

A D&C may be used as a diagnostic or therapeutic procedure for abnormal bleeding. A D&C may determine the cause of abnormal or excessive uterine bleeding, to detect cancer, or as part of infertility (inability to become pregnant) investigation
A D&C may be used following a miscarriage to remove the fetus and other tissues if they have not all been naturally passed. Infection or heavy bleeding can occur if these tissues are not completely removed. This type of D&C may also be called a surgical evacuation of the uterus.
Occasionally following childbirth, small pieces of the placenta (afterbirth) remain adhered to the endometrium and are not passed. This can cause bleeding or infection. A D&C may be used to remove these fragments so that the endometrium can heal properly.
How about God? He has told us in His word. We could just ignore it. But then we can never speak about sin again.just people who believe that no one can make that decision for women and their families.
I have reead or sen news about women whose life was saved when she had an abortion. She may have had Toxemia Pre-eclapmsas or ecalampsia early in the pregnancy which theartened her life.Jim1999 said:Abortion if necessary, but not necessarily abortion. No abortion; no d&c's........they also abort a mass within the womb. No abortion; some women WILL surely die. Some abortions have been known to save a life from an auto accident. Which life are you talking about?
Cheers,
Jim
