I see nothing in any article about this that makes such a claim. From HERE

New lines of cells may be formed from embryos slated for destruction, but I see nothing about creating them for such a purpose.

"But the research is controversial because days-old embryos must be destroyed to obtain the cells. They typically are culled from fertility-clinic leftovers otherwise destined to be thrown away. "

So what would be a non-typical method of obtaining embryos for research?

The 1987 Amendment to the Infertility (Medical Procedures) Act (Vic) allows the creation of embryos specifically for research purposes, as long as the proposed experiment takes place within 24 hours.

I just don't get it. We're in a bad recession, we're at war, people are losing their jobs and the prices of utilities are going up bigtime--yet Mr. Obama's first priority as president is to kill the unborn.
It is preposterous to suggest this.........

it's obvious his first priority is to go after Rush Limbaugh

You are the first person I have heard even suggest such a thing. You tell us.

So does it bother you that Obama has authorized tax dollars for abortions over seas?

Does it bother you that Obama favors the use of tax dollars to destroy human embryos in the name of "research"?

Does it bother you that Obama is in favor of forcing doctors to perform abortions even if it against their conscience?

Does it bother you to know that the law allows the creation of new embryos for the express purpose of destroying them in the name of "research"?

Where have you been?

Are you forgetting about Pelosi?

"Defending $200 million in a proposed economic stimulus package going to "family planning services," Pelosi told ABC's George Stephanopoulos that "family planning services reduce costs" to the state and to the federal government. Seeming to recognize the possibility of controversy, Stephanopoulos asked, "So no apologies for that?" Pelosi answered, "No apologies" (Transcript, ABC News, This Week, 1/25/09)."

"Planned Parenthood defended Pelosi and called the attempt to put money for "family planning" in the stimulus package a "commonsense solution" that would "invest in health care and get us out of this economic downturn." PPFA argued, "Every public dollar spent to provide family planning services generates $4.02 in Medicaid savings in the following year alone" (PPFA release, 1/27/09)."

I don't see anything about abortion in those quotes.

Also, Nancy Pelosi doesn't speak for me.

I was trying to answer your question as to who suggested that slaughtering unborn children is an economic stimulus.

I have recreated the discussion below.

Do try to keep up.:saint:

BTW "family planning services" is abortion. That's what Planned Parenthood does best.

Try to keep up yourself. Family planning services is contraceptives and education.

Come on.. quit being coy...

Sorry guys, it won't work. I have adequately expressed my opinions here numerous times. Since that time, the board admins have decided to stifle any discussion of the pros and cons of abortion law. Therefore I will not be goaded into violating the rules to get thrown off the board. Nice try.

I'm not trying to set you up..

I will state my stance...
I am against Abortion completely.
Life begins at conception, and anyone destroying embryos is a murderer.

And you lie MP.. The board admininistrators have NEVER tried to stifle people talking about the cons of abortion...

But they heroically have put an end to people promoting abortion by saying that life does not begin at conception.

The only reason you don't want to state your stand is because it is clearly against the rules of this board and the Holy Word of God.

Otherwise.. tell us.

Folks, MP has stated before that he is against abortion.

That said -- MP, you know just as well as the rest of us that contraceptives and education are not the only "family planning" options offered by Planned Parenthood. Your answer in that regard was definitely in the "coy" category.

Planned Parenthood sees abortion as a form of birth control. It is a murderous organization that has no value.

It's simple...

I guarantee, if every aborted baby could come back now.. they would be a prolife republican.

But what the libs have overlooked is that abortion is indirectly responsible for our economic woes...

Let's say all the aborted babies were still alive today in America... that would be more workers paying taxes.. and into Social Security.

Thus the baby boomers would have a generation bigger than them, behind them.. so that when the baby boomers get through with SS and die off, the system would not be broken.

What happened was my generation was cut in numbers due to abortion.. and now there are not enough workers paying into SS... to keep the boomers afloat.

Ironically----this is what the late Larry Burkett preached in his financial concept books and seminars-----------25 years ago!!!!!!
