1 KIngs 18:20-21 reads as such, "So Ahab sent word throughout all Israel and assembled the prophets on Mount Carmel.21Elijah went before the people and said, “How long will you waver between two opinions? If theLord is God, follow him; but if Baal is God, follow him.” (NIV)

When it comes to abortion, I need to ask the church, How long will you waver between two opinions?

The question is simple: Is there really any difference between the two? After all. It was legal to sacrifice babies to Baal. It was by no way a crime! So no one seemed to flinch when these sacrifices were held. Sounds almost like abortion and the silience of the church. At least that is how I see it!

Yes, there is a difference. Those who worshiped Baal or Molech worshiped demons. 1Co 10:20

IOW, they were deceived into thinking the power behind the idol was the power of a god. They worshiped something greater than themselves, albeit in ignorance.

Those who commit abortion do so for the sake of their own hedonism.

Abortion is worse.

Excellent point Aaron. I think you hit it out of the park.

The worshipers of Baal consumed part of the baby's body parts - we sell them not just for research but for drug making (collagen or so it is claimed).

I think it depends on who you ask. Ask a Theologian, and you may get various views, but, ask the babies...

God bless.
