Wow. Another zombie thread. The poor thing died 3 months ago!
Acts 13:48 As the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of God. As many as were appointed to eternal life believed.
Now, Who is verse 48 talking about as the One who appoints to eternal life?
Well, again, read the text.
Acts 13:47 For so has the Lord commanded us, saying, ‘I have set you as a light for the Gentiles, that you should bring salvation to the uttermost parts of the earth.’”
So, according to the context it is the Lord Who brings salvation and the Lord Who appoints to eternal life.
The bible couldn't be any more clear. You either believe it or reject it.
I believe it.
You seem to not have a very good understanding of what I said. Can you post a quote from me where I said all bible versions are mistranslated? You seem to be saying that all Bible versions are mistranslated.
When I study I do so in the Hebrew and Greek. When I just read the bible I use a translation I trust but when in doubt I still refer back to the Hebrew or Greek. If so then why not write your own version?
It is always a good idea to actually read the verse in question. Here. I will help you.Act 13:48 does not say they were appointed by God and there is no way you can make it so. You assume that God appointed them.
