And how did he get there? Remember He walked among us for 33 years before he did that one thing that is mentioned in Revelation. It did not take Him 33 years to die! So what was he doing for the rest of the 32 years 364 days of his life? That's right, He was resisting temptation, Not sinning, being obedient to the Father's will, performing miracles, teaching 12 normal humans to love the Father, and obey his Spirit in preparation for His departure from them after he does what is being praised in Revelation. etc. etc. etc.

The winner of a Gold Medal at the Olympics did not start preparing the day of the big event where the medal was won, but instead the Gold medal is the culmination of perhaps a lifetime of preparation. However, he is not rewarded for each step along the way, he is rewarded for winning the event he prepared for.

As for you, I must apologize to you. I forgot that you were absent from Bible school the day they taught Bible.

You cannot philosophize the things of scripture when it is clearly states something.

When you do this, and you do it quite often, you place yourself above scripture. That is dangerous. Not to those of us who have a clue but to you and your own life of faith.

If you are talking of the strictest definition of "ability", ABSOLUTELY, Is there anything impossible with God?

However, IF God does it, is it sin? Afterall He is the one who sets the standards.

Did God not KILL all but 8 humans in the flood?

Did God Not Kill all of Sodom and Gomorrah save for Lot and his two daughters?

Did God not KILL off a whole generation of the Children of Israel in the Wilderness?

Yet for us, We are commanded "Thou shalt not KILL!

If you limit your knowledge of God and things spiritual to a mere 66 books of writings (or 73 depending on your version of the bible and your religious affiliation) then you deserve the blindness you suffer!

You must realize that God, and man are more than what you read! You must know that we live in God's creation and everything in that creation is open for us to "think on" and to include in God's Word to us. He gave us dominion in and of his Creation! So why do you shut out the reality? Why don't you include it in your study of the written word? You only hurt yourself by excluding it.

Everything that God has to say is not contained in the written word. the Apostle John even ended his Gospel with the words

[John 21:25] There was much else that Jesus did; if it were written down in detail, I do not suppose the world itself would hold all the books that would be written.

John said that about the Son of God! Can you imagine if one attempted to write all there is about God the Father? Give me a break! Think things through instead of just popping off! Use your brain for something more than a doorstop!

If you are calling me a slave to the scriptures, than Thanks be to God.

This is Heresy pure and simple. You are going above and beyond scripture. Paul wrote against this when he wrote about the Judiasers, the rampant greek Gnostics, etc...

God has given the Bible as His revelation. It is sufficient. To go above the scriptures and adhere to doctrines that it does not teach is to play god and commit heresy, which is what you are doing.

No, I am not calling you a slave to scripture, I am saying that you have the mentality of a slave who does not think outside the boundary of slavery, who does not think there is more because he has been constrained to think only one way.

What God has given for "revelation" is merely the "door opener" to open up man to and for God. He reveals just enough of Himself, His heaven, His will, His plan, His future, and His own son to entice man to submit his own will to that of the Father.

I respond with

John 3:9,10 `How is that possible?" asked Nicodemus. Jesus replied, "You are the Teacher of Israel, and you do not know these things!

Jesus expected teachers in Israel to know more than what was in the "bible", and you know that Nicodemus and the other leaders had the Torah, the Law, the Chronicles, and the Prophets, etc. But Jesus addressed something that should be common knowledge among the people and Nicodemus did not seem to know it. So all that could be known is not contained in the Holy Scriptures, especially since we have only a "selected" series of all that was written by All of the Apostles and other writers.

You're right, what we do have is sufficient to introduce us to God, to get us prepared for our redemption, to teach us how to live as Christians but it is not ALL inclusive! It does not contain all that could be included, for if it did, we wouldn't read it anyway! We are expected to have knowledge that the bible does not contain, and we are expected to think beyond the limitations of the bible.
