In the book of Mark, Chapter 9; 11 & 12, after descending the Mount of Transfiguration the Apostles were a bit confused. This confusion caused them to speak amongst themselves (v:10) until finally, (v:11) "They asked him..."
In (v:12) it's recorded..., "And he answered and told them...."
I've been told the Lord answers prayer in only three ways. Yes, no, or not now. As it was with Paul and that thorn in his flesh..., not now.
How many believers really take a shotgun approach to prayer when they ask the Lord to, "Bless the family". Or, "Be with so and so." Or, "watch over us today".
God is a God of Love. He loves us in spite of ourselves and as such, I do believe He wants to answer our prayers but I also believe we need to be extremely specific in what we ask for.
Aim true like a fine rifle when you pray! Take a bead on your specific target! Ask for specific blessings from the Lord no matter what they are! Vacate the canned prayers and focus on specifically what it is you need.
If we ask - He answers. It don't get any better than this.
